i'm so frustrated to miss the game, i'm more frustrated to see the final score.. and it became worst after watching N'goal flying act. I never saw anyone dives that high before... 10 marks!! this is not 1pt earned but it's 2pts dropped... plus we may loose yossy and Riera for hamstring injury..
off topic... seems like 'The Draw King' has returned to reclaim his throne.. is this a sign that we're gonna play UEFA cup in two successive seasons???

We lose, they fuss even more.
Funny glory hunters. Funny, funny bunch.

Funny, funny bunch. We are too important to them. You just have to admit our importance in their life. We are so important to the extent that they sacrificed their sleep just to hope that they can watch us lose, watch us draw. I can understand rivals fans watching our games during weekend but to wake up 4am on working days to watch Liverpool playing when they are supporting manu, that's just too awesome. And til now, I haven't see any Arsenal and Chelsea fans doing just yet but there are a bunch of manu fans doing it.Damn.We are so important. "Liverpool" or "Inter Milan". easy Brother, don't pressure him lah... Its nice for him to support 2 clubs in 2 different leagues, so he'll still enjoy football when the 2 clubs meet what. That should be a plus, not a minus. Besides, people can have soft spots. Not everyone are hardened like those fools in Manchester United's glory hunters bunch.

"Liverpool" or "Inter Milan". easy "If"? They both met already. It was a great feeling getting to watch both of your favourite clubs go head to head. And the support goes to both teams win or lose. And best team on the day will win which Liverpool did. So to answer your question, the best team on that day will get my vote to win. QUOTE(Everdying @ Nov 10 2009, 04:34 PM) the way we're going, we may not even qualify for UEFA cup next season Yeah, but with the never say die attitude i learnt from past seasons, i will not be so pessimistic just yet. My bet is El Zhar will start on right and Kuyt on the left. I wont be surprised at all if El Zhar starts ahead of babel

looking at the jerome goal, i believe it was 75% of luck. take nothing away from his strike, it was amazing as it dipped just at the right time BUT with skrtel on the ball approaching the midfield, its reina's natural play to go off his line (as we are having possesion in a rather safe position)..u could see him running backwards to his goal when jerome got the ball n he took his chances with a half volley, come on ! the positioning sense of our defenders were off. masch was behind jerome instead of infront ! n jerome uses his body well, agger just back away instead of closing him down.. he was all alone up front (as bir on the back foot), none of his teammates running in support..so we should have closed down n got possesion back ! its just frustrating. very.

well, it's a bit disheartening to watch the team playing a lot better than the opposition but ended up having to chase the game, and 'just' managed to draw level with a blatant dive.
no point beating around the bush, the penalty was a poorly awarded one, and ngog, despite that brilliant run into the box, chose to fall without contact and i can understand why carsley got into arguments with the ref for that.
we had dozens of chances to win the match outright but like always it's always us who switched off instead of building into the one goal lead. the first goal was poorly conceded from a freekick where birmingham players won two successive headers in the penalty box. second was a bad punt from skrtel which caught the entire team out of position, giving jerome the chance to shoot from distance (and that was a nicely taken goal too).
there has been massive improvements in terms of performance on the pitch for lucas, although his composure in front of goal is still a suspect. ngog has been lively, and like lucas lacked composure. he can't afford to waste chances after chances when being fed through.
both riera and benayoun were having a good game until they went off injured, and i can really feel for riera having only returned from injury. everyone can see from his gesture the frustration and self-loathing for getting himself out for a while again.
johnson was terrific down the right, and dribbled past a couple of defenders not once but several times in the game. insua is still very much inexperienced, and it shows in the game.
agger could do little in both goals conceded, i thought he had a good game. reina was rarely troubled and beaten by the two real chances birmingham has had.
personally, i thought skrtel and masch are having the worst form of their career to date. both were making endless stray passes in their own half and looked so shaky when defending. masch was venturing high up the field without knowing what to do with the ball, while skrtel was wasting too many long punts towards nobody in the opposition half.
good to see gerrard back without looking like he's carrying niggling injuries, while aquilani and babel could do little when given the runout.
it's one point earn for the optimists, and two points lost for the pessimists. either way, we're digging a deeper hole for ourselves if we still can't climb out from this mess.

I don't know if anyone notice about this but it's the same old question I had been asking for long.
Is Gerrard the guy for captaincy?
Again, when everyone trying to pick on N'Gog and when there was argument, he was nowhere to be seen.It takes Lucas to help his teammate out.
Where is Gerrard again?Reminds me of the sent off of Mascherano on Old Trafford.Alonso dragged Masch away with Gerrard MIA over the course. Is he really the right guy for captaincy? Given the situation N'Gog in and if Carra is on field, he would have help out N'Gog and do something what a captain should be doing.
Again, is Gerrard the right man?

mostly captaincy was based on seniority, capability in term of commanding and ability to change the situation once needed.. which i believe gerrard is the best candidates so far..

Carra has he's ups and downs. You dont expect Reina to run the whole field again just to protest. The next candidate is if you want someone to "help out" the situation, its Mascherano. Others are inexperienced at the club. Ah yes, Kuyt? So of course Gerrard is the right man. He's just a little tired last night. This post has been edited by visionary1993: Nov 10 2009, 05:50 PM

Exactly, the play & dependability on a captain when all go wrong is what matters, not stand up like a thugs. So yes he inspire the team with his play & dependability, so he's a worthy captain.

I don't feel the captain is needed that much during those situation. So yeah Gerrard's the best man to be the captain atm.
