well something like that, atm apple peel 520 doesn't have 3g connection, but u get to make calls and sms on it.
other skins like sprint u can use it for 3g but no calls/sms

spiderwick - too bad ur not gonna be there for 2 yrs, could get iphone 4 for free in a 2 yr contract!! just pay a min of aus$58 per month which includes calls/sms etc

ya, not going for so long...jus wan2 experience life there for a while

just fyi. you no longer can pay for a charge for the battery, if you battery is dead. unless is under warranty, they'll surely change it for free

im planning buying either ipod 3g or iphone 3gs(2nd hand). i know mayb i can google it, but i need advise from ppl in malaysia.

1) i know ipod touch can jb, the stable version for iphone 3gs is 3.1.3(as i know), did ipod touch also same?
2) after jb to same version, is the different between ipod touch & iphone 3gs only make call/sms?
3) as i know china now got a device can change ipod touch to making call/sms, is malaysia selling it?
4) the main reason i buy is for entertainment, is all the game & app in iphone can run in ipod touch?

3)i saw that 2nd hand ipod touch 3g 32g will be around RM700, an new ipod touch 4g 32gb will aroung RM1100, is 4g better than 3g(in many way)? or after update to ver 4.1, not so much different between 3g & 4g? as i know 4g got camera that i not care so much coz i got digicam.

4g has a faster processor, but same old 256ram
ability to video call and record hd
retina display = vry sharp and clear quality compared to 3g where u can notice the dull blur-ish pixels
a gyroscope for better gaming options

if u dont want all these then go for ipod 3g

and 4.1 is prob more stable than 4.0, but i'm sure there are a few minor issues, though batt life might be not as good as os3

jailbreak = warranty void

Better go for ipod 4..for me all ipod 1,2,3 look same..ipod 4 look awesome especially wif it display and it facetime camera..

memory 8gb is already big enough as im using old ipod 8gb rite now and the memory still never full..

Im still dreaming to hav the ipod 4 as my budget still not enough to grab it..

Just buy it, sure don hav regret..

I'd say save money to get the 32g. Most high end games are at least 300mb+. And when u buy the 8g u'll only have 7g free space. Furthermore if you're gonna add songs, and maybe record some videos, 8g is not enough. Even my 16g iPhone isn't enough for me. The 32g iPod I used to have was just nice.

I have an iPod touch 2gen which has been serving me well since Oct 2008. By now battery health is poor, gets flat after 2 hrs of gameplay.

I'd prefer the iPod Touch over the iPhone. I don't mind carrying around both a phone and ipod touch. I can use them interchangeably without draining either's battery life.

Once my ipod dies completely, I'll go for another ipod touch. The 4th gen looks real good with HD video recording, Facetime & retina display. Does the lens function as a still camera also? I hope so cos it's be silly to allow video recording but not photo-taking. :swt:

@boaz, 4th gen has two camera, both allow photo taking, not great stills compare ro iPhone.
