Hello Langkawi sifus!

Will be travelling on a budget on 28 - 31 August.

Thinking of either:
a) Eagle Bay Hotel
b) Seaview Hotel
c) Langkasuka Hotel (the one in Kuah, next to Teow Soon Huat or Langkawi Parade)
All are in Kuah and about the same price.

Need advice on which hotel is better? Facilities, location, which one newer or nicer environment? Anyone stay there before?

Or anyone got suggestion on good budget hotel in Kuah?

Thank you!  notworthy.gif

I think you should skip Seaview Hotel as the location is out of place (it is in Jalan Penarak). Both Langkasuka and Seaview are owned by Teow Soon Huat so Langkasuka Hotel is a better choice since it is walking distance to Langkawi Mall where a few duty free shops like Zeno, Idaman Suri are located. WanThai ( very nice Thai Malay restaurant is also located here).

Since budget is the main concerned, Baron Hotel is even nearer to the shopping areas and also the pasar malam. smile.gif

Hi, I went Langkawi last yr oct, stay in Langkasuka Hotel.
Pro - 1) near to airport - as i need to return the car back to the airport, so i feel it save time as i can take my time to pack my stuffs, no so rush 2) i would said is a budget hotel, book it for less than RM100 per night for two person

Cons - 1) is bit out of town 2) if you wan a nice beach, this is not the place for you

Places must visit - Cable Car - the view is nice! and also wildlife park - enjoy feeding parrot, rabbit, donkey...is just fun!

Price is about standard, not much cheaper really. Even if you venture yourself the price might be even cheaper if it is a low season but high season your price is definately cheaper. You didn't mention which chalet though.

Advantage is, you save time as it is prearranged instead of wasting time looking into this room and that room, looking for the elusive cheaper chalets, ha,ha,ha. biggrin.gif So more time for jalan jalan but then again it is alos an adventure going around unplanned as I always do.

yeah beach was ok, but the water, i would give a 6/10. Not really crystal clear but still ok la. Did not stop me from taking a short dip biggrin.gif

@ozak, the tractor effects are from wind blowing and creating small dunes on the sand. Really no people set their foot on there biggrin.gif nice~~
