Most of Langkawi resorts facing either North or East & only few facing west. Furthermore west is covered wth huge mangrove area (Kilim Geopark)..susah wor..Probably you can try Tg Rhu located morth West but no cheap hotels there or Indraloka Bay which is facing West. (no hotels there.)

For sunrise, go to East coast better. langkwai is for sunset

Hi guys, i will be going to Langkawi coming January. But problem is i havent booked my hotel AND i already finalized/booked my flight ticket. I planned for Berjaya Resort initially but none available anymore during my vacation period there.

Any other good suggestion? Budget around RM200/night or below.

i have 8 fishing members going to fishing this coming november in langkawi. thinking to:

-rent an apartment to fit 8 people for 3d2n
-rent a car that can fit 8 people for 3d2n

how much is it to rent an apartment (not those fancy apartment but just ok ok apartment) for 8 people there and what type of transportation will be given for 8 people to fit in a car? i think its probably a van right?

Definitely have to rent a car to get around.

It is small as in it goes in a loop lah but its definitely not that small that you can walk around xD

smile.gif Wah! I envy all 8 smile.gif of you. You can actually check in lelong.com where I have seen smile.gif an ad smile.gif for Lagenda apartments wwhich I think can fit your requirements nicely. It's nott expensive and for van rentals, there are many over there, no worries. I think the drive will take approximately 4 to 6 hours depending on your driving speed.

You don't have to drive all the way till K.Perlis. Alor Setar will do. After the first toll, go straight at the traffic lights and lookout for Kuala Kedah junction. Also check my earlier treads for fishing info in Langkawi. First boat to Langkawi normally starts at 7.30am. biggrin.gif
