It is RM35 one way from PPC and if I am not mistaken if you buy to and fro ticket it is RM60. It leaves for Langkawi at 8.00 am and leaves Langkawi and back to Penang at 5.00 or 6.00 pm daily. It was meant for day trippers from Penang but sadly many Langkawians wants to do day trips to Penang as well but unable to as they did not have a same departure time the other way round.

went to langkawi. had a great time
got myvi for rm140, 3d2n.
stayed at malibest resort, comfortable and clean and most importantly CHEAP.
the beach is just right outside of the door. lovely

dont eat at Hj. Ramli restaurant. pure waste of monehh~
ikan bakar no sambal on top. tomyam taste like plain hot water

my only dislike about langkawi is, shops there at pantai cenang they close early, and open really late. thats just weird.

RM140 for 3 days? i mean the rental fee for myvi..

yeap. a shiny black myvi car. auto. rm140 for 3 days. we only topup rm10 for petrol.

its important to rent cars with permit. road block is everywhere.

Its RM70/day, pretty standard price.

oh, im not sure about at the airport. i got it at the jetty.

yeah. its just that we arrived early in the morning and thought they would've charged us for 3 days.
we even returned the car late in the evening on the 3rd day and was not charged a cent.
so it was cheaper than we thought it would be.

Most car the price is quite standard and the car is quite new..no need to book lah

I don't see the need to rent a car with permit. An illegal one is ok. For the four night I stay in Langkawi in June, I didn't see any road block.

hmm i did see some road block... was there for 3 days 27-29 June... but the road block as at the opposite direction ....
I rented myvi ... 200 for 3 days 2 nite ..... from teluk yu,,, wont even reduce any further
but the good thing is... when i went to collect the car.. they dont have any myvi ready yet, so gave me a vios to drive ! hehehe lucky !

of the 4N 3D i went, i din't see any roadblocks...

just to share with you guys, some lurkers outside the airport was trying to rent me their avanza for sky high price... RM 120 per day... (summore without permit), and they don't even wanna nego..
