oic... i tot single entrance visa will do dat... thanks!  icon_rolleyes.gif  now quite regret to fly in from shenzen.... shud have fly in direct to hk....  doh.gif

KL - > Shen Zhen counted as One Entry

Shen Zhen -> HK no need visa

HK - > Shen Zhen counted as One Entry

So you need to apply for at least Double Entry. Multiply Entry Visa is valid for 2 year max. So i think u better apply for Multiply Entry Visa.

Hi peeps, need your comments on the following itinerary

Day 1:
Check in Dorsett Seaview Hotel @ 2PM
Jalan Jalan around Fa Yuen, Sports Street, Temple Street

Day 2:
Ocean's Park
Jalan Jalan @ Central
Buy famous egg tart @ Tai Cheong Bakery
Victoria's Peak

second day quite rush, most probably u will spend your time until 5p.m at ocean park so i suggest you do it this way:
Ocean Park -> Victoria Peak only

Day 3:
Macau

Day 4:
Big Buddha via Ngong Ping 360 - Should i take the tour package for this? I jalan by myself?
Citygate Outlet Mall

you can jalan yourself

Day 5:
Argyle Shopping
TST Shopping - anyone can recommend?
Avenue Stars
Light show
Knutsford Terrace

TST shopping is more to high end brand, you can go to Harbor City and DFS

Day 6:
Jalan Causeway bay
Lan Kwai Fong

rickshaw sightseeing bus which covers two routes in HK island is another good option for you to spend your morning till noon then you can continue to jalan jalan at causeway bay.

Day 7
Depart HK

I think certain days are quite free. Anyone care to recommend me places to go/visit? biggrin.gif

Hey moody5, thanks for the comments

I have another question about the Ding Ding tram, when can I take this just to enjoy the exp? I have read about it and it seems like it's kinda confusing if u dunno where to alight.

Also, is there a nice dim sum place that you could recommend?
*
actually it is not confusing at all. Only scan your octupus card to pay for it when you are getting off the tram. please refer the below link for the route services

http://www.hktramways.com/en/service/index.html

There were two dim sum place i love the most.
One is in Central, old style dim sum place where you can see a lot of local uncles and auntie enjoying there:
http://www.linheung.com/p7.html

another one is located at TST there, you can enjoy the Victoria harbor view when you enjoy ur dim sum :

Hi there, depends on what type of shopping you want to do.

Listiani has replied on Citygate.

Harbor City, DFS (both are just near to each other around 北京道) are located in TST area.

The nice dim sum with superb Victoria Harbor View details (I only have it in Mandarin):
映月樓
地址:九龍尖沙嘴香港文化中心2樓
電話:(852) 2806-0683
營業時間:週一至六11am-3pm、5pm-11pm,周日假日10am開始營業
地鐵出口:尖沙嘴站-E出口

Others good shopping spot will be Time Square + Sogo at Causeway Bay area, IFC mall in Central, Langham Shopping Place (you can find Muji in this mall) near to Women Street,

Bangkok's Pavilion? Bangkok got pavilion mall? Siam paragon is it?

Arglye outlet is quite far, only worth to go if you are interested in Prada and Miu Miu.

Octopus card is a must for me. You can even use it to buy things in convenient store / buy McD in Ocean Park / take the tram to victoria peak

Causeway Bay got shopping also but maybe you are not interested because you are not looking for high end brand. But I like the nite entertainment there. That's what I mean in my earlier post  biggrin.gif

However, around TST, Mongkok, even Causeway Bay, I saw many small boutique selling good quality of clothing, shoes and handbag at reasonable price. I bought many clothes, shoes and handbag for my friends, family. They like it. So it is really not neccessary you have to buy from shopping mall.

As for Ladies Market, hmm! that is not my cup of tea because most stuff come from China and you can tell already the quality.
*
Agreed.

I haven't found any similar mall like Bangkok's Platinum Mall in HK.

To be honest, those middle range brand outlets, i.e Esprit, It is really much cheaper, You can get a pair of jeans around RM 100, T-shirt around RM 25, Blouse and Skirts around RM 50.

If you are going during summers sales or winter, Ju to Aug period, you can get very cheap G2000, Bossini, Giordano.

Bossini, Giordano are usually cheaper than KL.

For small boutique, you can get tops around HKD 50. Quality not bad. Mostly those shops are located in Mongkok area.

HK's ladies shoes/heels and sandals are much more expensive than KL but sport wear and vans are cheaper and newer in models.

Day 1 (16/2)
Bad news is i'll be landing at HKIA at 8pm. And i would really want to go to MACAU first. I heard about Turbo Jet online and there's a last ferry at 10pm but i need to check in to their terminal by 9pm (which i honestly pray AA won't delay) But, i doubt it so much, so i need a plan B, other than the turbo jet, what is the last ferry to Macau which guarantee i wont miss and its near HKIA, or is there any direct transfer? Please let me know if anyone know.

Will be considering to stay at MetroPark Macau.

Once checked in hotel, thinking to explore places nearby. Some night scenaries maybe and DINNER! Yes, where's the best place to eat??? Definitely nearby our hotel at night  biggrin.gif

They actually sail on later time at night time if you don't take the airport route
http://cotaijet.com.mo/en/destinations/index.aspx

http://www.turbojet.com.hk/eng/schedule/prd.html

Assuming that your flight didn't delay (reach HKIA at 8p.m) then you should be able to make it for the airport route, or else you have to go to Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal @ Central to take ferry to Macau.

Casinos open 24 hours a day. I think thats the place you can go after 11p.m

Day 2 (17/2)
After breakfast thinking to go for a day tour MACAU, any suggestion to some exciting place. Maybe some historic places (not too much though) and some enjoyment to let me get a feel of MACAU. Good food is my main objective. I heard Macau shopping stuff is quite expensive, but if there's any market i can go, it'll be great. Please give me some suggestions... hehehe smile.gif

historic places (not too much though) You are wrong in this! Maybe you should read more about Macau.

http://www.macautourism.gov.mo/en/index.php

Day 3 (18/2)
Breakfast, check out from Macau hotel. Will be going to the ferry to transfer back to HK.
Will only get to enjoy some last moments of Macau, but will be carrying my luggage so its kinda hectic.

You can always kept your luggage at lobby

Back to HK,
Thinking to check in to Disneyland. Any great package there?  unsure.gif
Rest a while and would want to explore Disneyland already. Will be there till the next morning.

By the time you reach HK, i guess it will be around afternoon, are you sure you still want to go Disneyland?

Day 4 (19/2)
Check out from Disneyland, will be traveling to check in another hotel. I am thinking hotels near Mong Kok and must near MTR  thumbup.gif
I have a few suggestions maybe Harbour Hotel, Metropark WanChai, Dorsett Seaview or Harbour Plaza. Not sure which one would be better. But i will be definitely booking hotels online.

Metropark WanChai is located at WanChai but not MOngkok

After check in i would like to sleep for while to recharge after the hectic-ness then its food hunting time. Tell me the best food in town at night in the HK must visit. I would like to try out street stalls if its not too dirty. Then i might check out ladies market at night.

Yung Kee, 1 star Michelin Roasted Goose. I miss those food damn a lot

Day 5 (20/2)
IF im lucky enough i could get some ground tours visiting some HK famous places. But where and which???

You don't need those tours. Just do more reading and research on HK then you will know what to see.
Day 6 (21/2)
Time to check out the HK peak. Ok this is actually just maybe the late half of the day, but morning and noon haven't plan yet. Probably do some walking and shopping around

Day 7 (22/2)
Well my flight is 4pm, so i got the morning before i check out and start my journey back to HKIA.
Not quite sure if there's anything nearby i could enjoy, but feel free to drop me some comments.
That's just my brief planning which already driving me  rclxub.gif but im real excited about it though i still have 6 more months to go. But i need some information before i could make any reservations during MATTA fair.

Everyone your comments are welcome, those who have been or heard about Macau and HK thumbup.gif

Thanks forumers1

guys... average how much u all spend in HK? for food and shopping plus all the entrance fees?
*
It varies from people to people. Really depends on individual Shoppings.

5 days 4 nights trip for ordinary shopping (brands like Esprit/Zara/Uniqlo/Nike/Addidas) plus Food (One or two expensive food which cost HKD200 per pax) plus entrances fees (HK Disneyland + The Peak + Ocean Park)
It cost around Rm 1500 (excluding flights and accommodations)

if you go there to visit all the place there and not mainly on shopping?
any advise.... 5days 4night
*
friend, in this case, plan ur trip then we can advise you on ur budget

if you are going for 5 days 4 nights, the typical plan will be:
1st day - check in, walk around your hotel
2nd day HK disneyland plus walk around Temple St
3rd day If you still interested to go Ocean Theme park, then u can go to the theme park until around 5p.m then go The peak
4th day City sightseeing plus shopping at Mongkok area
5th day pack and go home

like this Rm3k should be enough

Hi all,

I going to HK in next few days. Not with agency. So I wanna ask, if go macau, do I need to make special pass or something. My parents told me they go in from China last time. But when going b from Macau to China, they need to make extra pass which caused them to locked inside Macau for another day, nearly miss the flight b to Malaysia.

Btw, I planning to go there get some accessories for my PS3. Any recommendation for cheap place?
*
if you are Malaysian, you don't need any visa or pass to enter Macau
