Just back from Hong Kong..
Had very bad experience lolx.. Mayb is the diff culture thou..

I found out ppl who live in Kowloon area like to scam tourist.. lolx
For example, if u order a set lunch or dinner, it will serve with tea or coffee add another 2 dollar for cold drinks.. But they will nvr bother to ask u the drink u wan... Mayb they were too busy, haha waitress from China will ask u only Kowloonese will not ask.. lolx
I remember I go to a KFC restaurant, we all were stun by the "Super BLACK FACE" from the person at the counter taking orders.. She act like we owe her money and want to kill us.. And of cos other tourist from other country were shock by the services from her too..  laugh.gif

And for Hong Kong Island ppl, the way they talk are very arrogant.. Overall, all talk and act like very rude lor.. I was surprised that a 12 year old kid talk rudely to a perfect stranger inside the public transport.. OMFG..

And many many more.. XD
*
Set lunch and dinners always come with tea or coffee, cold drinks are always + HKD2
You got to order ur drink together with ur set.

Thats their culture that seems rude and arrogant to us

Just came back yesterday. Weather was okay, with slight rain on a few days. Thankfully, it rained on days when we were in malls.

Shopping-wise; Harbour City is better. Maybe because there's one G2000 outlet there. Citygate is not bad, but Adidas/Nike/Puma's selections were so-so. Ended up buying Timberland shoes, and some other random items.

Esprit's in Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Citygate, and some other places too.

Went all the way to Wharf Road in North Point, but don't waste your time .... the Nike outlet there has practically nothing. Adidas outlet has moved.

G2000 outlet in Mong Kok's Argyle St has moved away. Only in Harbour City. Limited selection, but can still buy coats/jackets from HKD370 onwards, work shirts about HKD99 onwards, pants from about HKD129 onwards.

Oh, SOGO has appreciation sale! MADNESS at the Causeway Bay outlet. JAM-PACKED! But really good sale, even cheaper than outlet stores sometimes. Braun Buffel had up to 50% for bags and 30% for wallets, Adidas/Nike too had discount.

But the craziest part was the cosmetic section. Could not even walk pass ....

If both of you got multiple entry visa for China then option 1 is good.
Or else go for option 2

checked on the place Glamourousfit advised... fully booked +_+
others.. without windows... seems dangerous...
any further recommendation nearby yau matei ?
thanks
*
Quite challenging to get a decent hotel room at rm250 nowadays as compared to last time as we have to factor in inflation and uptrend the property prices in HK!

Hotel around RM 250 in Yau Ma Tei for your date (22-25Oct):
Goodrich Hotel
Bridal Tea House Yau Ma Tei Hotel

But I didn't stay in both hotel before so good luck to you!

Thanks for the prompt respond. Few question to ask..im planning to go this sept for 1 week..
1. thought want to book airasiago. if i wait till aug, will there still be flight + stay to book, if u know? or better book seperately? i choose aago for simplicity.. budget around 3 to 4k for 7d6n.
2. shud i chg hkd now since good rate? will it fluctuate fast?
*
Friend, pls compare the flight tickets of Airasia, Cathay Pacific and MAS as sometimes MAS will be cheaper than Airasia

what does the 3-4k include? per person?

I suggest you to start changing now. i.e If you plan to bring Rm4k there to spend, you can start to change Rm1k each time.
