i've been doing research on accomodations in HK. found Mei Mei Motel Sincere House, 83 Argyle Street, Mongkok, Hong Kong and thought of sharing it here as it looks clean and very affordable, besides situated in Sincere Hse is a better alternative compared to mirador or chungking mansion. a lot of other budget inns are here too like dragon hostel, king wah hostel and etc.
take a look at some pics i got from a thai and philiphino forum : Mei Mei Motel : http://www.meimeimotel.com.hk/index.html Pics from Thai forum: http://www.hongkongfanclub.com/index.php?topic=1295.0 Philiphino forum : http://www.istorya.net/forums/destinations...g-kong-115.html (stated the charges for room rate post #1720 ) i think there are a few more great ones out there but they are not so commercialized. another one : http://www.yiufaiguesthouse.com/accommodation.html This post has been edited by ~tennisgal~: Feb 28 2011, 11:15 PM |

The 8th floor of Sincere Building is a band studio.
So from morning to night around 10 to 11pm, very loud drumming. And the Mongkok streets are very noisy, the buses and taxi and cars and people 24/7 noises. Unlike Malaysia where no buses and taxis and few lorries and trucks at night. The worst part is they have all the rights to horn at full force throughout the night to wake us up. Cars are minimal if any during the nite esp after 11. The only problem I faced is those mainland China tourist next door. They cant seem to shut their mouth even if its midnite. & they have to talk till the whole floor can hear This post has been edited by vreis: Mar 4 2011, 12:47 PM |

QUOTE(mls_gamer @ Mar 7 2011, 12:40 AM) Plan to visit HK this year end December..... U could take the current currency conversion as M'sian ringgit gain against HK dollar for the past few months but I don't see it as any significant big amount when comparing the price of branded in between. The people in HK & China are spending for luxury like drinking water.....Lucky i found this thread. thanks to TS and other members that share their info here... and the branded clothe there cheaper than malaysia ? |
