Thanks for your info.. btw, what u mean PEAK??
*

Power usage spike. Speakers alternate between high and low rapidly. The highest spike is what it can do for a short period of time only before you do damage to it. In other words, the speaker can go 1 to 10 but 11 if you crank it for 5 seconds.

If the 1020 cannot handle the peak that your speaker demands, it will auto shutdown because it doesn't have enough power amplification to do so.

Look for Wong or the boss, Yee Phok thumbup.gif

RF-62 is rated at a nominal impedance of 8ohm and has a high sensitivity of 97dB. The 919 and 1020 will not have problem driving it if you are not listening at near reference level.

The 1020 has a few advantages - 3D capable, 1 extra HDMI, Advanced MCACC (sound calibration), Freescale DSP chip (instead of TI's Aureus), Wolfson 192MHz/24-bitDACs and Multichannel SACD transfer via HDMI (though 920 has 5.1 analog input).

*
I could only see the different between 920 and 1020 is 2 extra hdmi 1 back, 1 front for 1020, 1 extra composite video and analog audio (front) for 920, and advance sound retriever (multi ch) for 1020, 2ch only for 920.

PS: 920 Malaysia/UK spec totally different from 920 US spec, 1020 look just same

WTF?? That is ridiculously high. You want to ask the price from Hiway Laser or A&L. Anyway I just get 820 my my kids to watch movies. No problem driving my Klipsch RF-62 to an insane loudness but I hook it up with satellites just for simplicity smile.gif

Think these quotes are for the NEW Pioneer Infinity Component Packages. Else surely too high sweat.gif

The 520-K has Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio as well.

RRP is RM3k++, but @ Desa LowYat and Harvey Norman it's selling @ RM2,699. I just bought a set @ Harvey Norman Ikano & was given RM2,499. Further RM200 discount. Cheapest so far in KL for this particular Pioneer Infinity package (HTP-TSS51), which includes:

1. TSS-500/230 5.1ch Infinity Speaker Set
2. Pioneer VSX-520-K

I'm new to the whole AV world, thus this seemed the best package out of all that I tested for entry-level AV's. Was close to getting a Yamaha set, but it didn't support TrueHD or DTS-HD. Think it was the RX-V367 with satellite speakers & sub (RM2,299).

So far am loving the Pioneer set. icon_rolleyes.gif Just need to know how to fine tune further. Am reading through the various threads there for help. Any pointers from sifu's much appreciated! notworthy.gif
