QUOTE(rstusa @ Oct 27 2010, 11:42 PM) I went to lowyat desa theatre ask for 520, 820 and 1020 price with speaker set, they told me 520 set is RM2699, 820 set is RM3099, 1020 set is RM4099. Is it too expensive? WTF?? That is ridiculously high. You want to ask the price from Hiway Laser or A&L. Anyway I just get 820 my my kids to watch movies. No problem driving my Klipsch RF-62 to an insane loudness but I hook it up with satellites just for simplicity Added on October 28, 2010, 2:15 pmOh sorry I didn't notice the price is with speaker set and not avr alone haha....my bad....my bad This post has been edited by arremie: Oct 28 2010, 02:15 PM

i also get weird reading from this macc so i actually adjust the level manually using spl meter and now the sound is more balanced. way better than using macc but of course u need to run macc first to get the correct speaker distance.
what's ur surround speaker? bear in mind 920 is only 65wpc and will get lower output if all channel used. don't crank too loud or ur avr might clip and damage ur speakers.

is the input setup correct? ur 820 must display H instead of A. use button "signal sel" on ur remote to cycle the input.

I connect Dune media player, Panny BDP and Pioneer DVDP to my 820 using all HDMI. Then single HDMI from AVR to LCD. No problem so far. Functioning as it is. Got no HDMI notebook to try.
One thing I like about 820 is no video upscaling stuff so it's really very straight forward. The only thing need to check out is the correct input/output setting.

Meaning you have first select correct input source (BD, DVD, TV/SAT, DVR, etc) then make sure if you use HDMI then must select HDMI as the signal.
Anyway there's one thing you can try. If your player has component output then try to use that instead. Sometimes certain device can't talk well thru HDMI.
If you insist on using HDMI, then you must connect the device directly to display then use digital audio (coaxial/optical) from device to AVR for the sound.
I don't have any problem with any of my HDMI devices but sometimes there's compatibility problem with this HDCP thing.

if u dont need video upscaling the 820 would be a better choice and much cheaper. i personally dont prefer the 520 bcoz the speaker terminals use banana only for front. the rest are using clip.
