i feel tat speaker sound like broken when playing bassy song..
wat is yr recommend setting for s730?
using X-fi fatality..

bass +2
treble+2
SW+6

sound like using cheap speaker open too maximum.

it sounds like edifier M1335F? haha..
should he change to D2x?

What's u guys' suggestion?

really that bad meh? lol, either the speaker defective or the source is defective. don't forget turn off all x-fi features like CMSS, Crystallizer, even Bass Boost.

His source is 320kbps mp3, ady asled him to turn off the setting on the soundcard, now waiting for his reply xD

well i hate x-fi crystallizer. the sound becomes harsh and overbright, bass is also added but terrible. same goes for the CMSS3D. the bass boost features is quite decent, although when altering much values will compress sound significantly. best leave it all off for me. brows.gif

My young uncle said "kalau x gne feature X-FI (Crystalizer, CMSS, 3D etc.) baik xyah gne X-FI". Well maybe he is right but he is a gamer so he can care less when it come to music. But for me if you insist on music or sound production you should seek another alternative. Usually the brand that we rarely hear they are much better than mainstream brand.

bass is definitely sounds nicer than VS4121
but comparing how loud they can go,VS4121 can pump louder bass than HCS2330

hmmm.. i guess i'll go to the shops and test the altec this weekend. will still consider edifier though

Just got S730 from LYP for 1070 =.=! Damn nice pairing with Asus Xonar D2X. =)
