To all subscribers, i will upload a file maybe tonight. You can apply this to teknologist kernel 1.9. If you are running modaco 2.8 or 2.9, you will have to apply teknologist kernel 1.9. To those running MCR 3.0, you will already have teknologist kernel, but can apply the tweak too. It improves battery and memory management..

2gb is enough..space is not really an issye if u have more than 512mb..whats important is to have a fast sd card (class 6)

Actually, I did plan to start a site too dedicated to Android..But there are lots of sites out there already running for Android..I got my own server and planned to design a nice template for it..Im not sure if I will be able to give dedication to it though..But if you want a community, I can hook us up Provided we have enough people to manage it..

I thought to start with a blog, and create a forum later if the site kicks-off. I'm open to opinions though. Sent you a PM!

Yeah..Adhoc connection. PC to mobile bridge connection with internet sharing from the PC..I used to do it a lot on Symbian phones before this because their 3G wasn't that efficient..However, on my Hero, I prefer to use 3.5G connection from Maxis because surprisingly, it kicks the butt of Malaysia's streamyx connection If you want to test the real competition, try using the YouTube application in your Hero - both on wireless and 3.5G. You'll be surprised I load a 3.5 minute video in 4 seconds on my 3.5G connection

i've tried the adhoc using my Magic and it does work pretty fine. The only problem i face is that with the Adhoc setting in place, normal infrastructure WiFi scanning and connection acts a bit slow and weird. But I do rely on this Adhoc mode heavily as i don't have data plan So in order to satisfy both situation (Adhoc and Infra),i have actually created some scripts to enable me to switch to Infra (normal) or Adhoc on the fly via GScript on the phone(root required) itself without the need of ADB. If u guys want it, i can share it out but for it to work there are 2 conditions, 1) U know how to set up ICS on your pc 2) You will have to edit the the Adhoc name to the name you configured in 2 files cheers

for the internet sharing from your laptop to your hero, i use this software. Connectify. but it only works on windows 7 laptops because it was actually a scrapped feature of win7 during development. essentially this software turns your laptop into a wi-fi hotspots. you can connect any wi-fi enabled devices not just your hero. but shazs tip is great too. i've tried it already and its working fine.

i find out it already ... flashrec wont work for 1.6 rom .... now i doest hav recovery ... i try using terminal method(connectbot) from amonra latest recovery thread ... then boot up it wont go to recovery mode ... stuck at htc magic page ... then i remove the battery to normal boot to get into my rom back .. now no recovery mode ... so hard .. thank god that .. flashing new recovery wont brick my phone ... but no recovery mode now .. a big lost to me .. finding ways .. i think this is easy way to update recovery , coz now using cyanogenmod
QUOTE via a simple reboot -> Requires Cyanogen or my RA ROM (other ROMs will probably work too, check init.rc where to put the recovery.img) CODE Rename recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.5.1H.img to recovery.img Copy recovery.img to /data Reboot fully (the recovery will be flashed automatically) Reboot to recovery but i din noe how to get/navigate into /data to copy files ... i find out my self already .. after pm sta4vag .. and with him guidance now its working .. just for 1.5.0H recovery .. but wont work for 1.5.1H .. tq for reply shahz anyway This post has been edited by ~tera~: Dec 9 2009, 06:32 AM
