how to setup "Internet tethering" Internet tethering Over USB ???

can we connect to internet using bluetooth on our destop or laptop ??? and how to setup it ???

for internet tethering ... can any1 giv me specific guide ?? i did tickthe "internet tethering" inside setting already and connect it to usb to my laptop
i unmount already
but i cant experience any internet on my htc magic ?? and there is no new network connection inside my network and sharing center on my laptop .. how ?? pls

shah bro .. i already root my htc magic and have a old recovery .. and i wanna change to newest 1 .. 1.51 by amon_ra .. then .. can i use flashrec.apk to replace the current recovery ?? by filling in the blank the recovery name and soo on . .that shows inside one click method from theunlockr
can help me .. thx in advance ..

i find out it already ... flashrec wont work for 1.6 rom ....
now i doest hav recovery ... i try using terminal method(connectbot) from amonra latest recovery thread ... then boot up it wont go to recovery mode ... stuck at htc magic page ... then i remove the battery to normal boot to get into my rom back .. now no recovery mode ... so hard .. thank god that .. flashing new recovery wont brick my phone ... but no recovery mode now .. a big lost to me .. finding ways ..
i think this is easy way to update recovery , coz now using cyanogenmod

Rename recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.5.1H.img to recovery.img
Copy recovery.img to /data

but i din noe how to get/navigate into /data
to copy files ...

i find out my self already .. after pm sta4vag .. and with him guidance now its working .. just for 1.5.0H recovery .. but wont work for 1.5.1H .. tq for reply shahz anyway

sumthing comes up in my mind ... im the one who really2 like trying out alot of ROM .. since there is alot of them for htc magic .. and i figure out myself .. that .. i have to new setup all contact , setting and what so ever ..
my Main ROM is CyanogenMod and .. since i already make a nandroid backup .. for my vanilla(1.5) version .. is it the only nandroid backup file .. called
"recovery-backup' on the root of ur sd card ??
can i backup alot of nandroid in my computer .. so that i can create new nandroid backup .. which mean if i wanna use this nandroid back up inside my computer (A,vanilla) then i replace my current nandroid backup inside my sdcard (B,cyanogenMod) , can i manage to get it works ??

any idea ?? since the nandroid backup .. backup all ur apps and setting ,all of them , or we can make another backup on recovery mode ???
i noe that we can backup all our sms , contact using sprite backup
but im not always on internet on my magic .. (no 3g , no wireless network at home)

lol ... really ???? so its TRUE that the only nandroid backup file compact up to single file called "recovery-backup" inside root of sd card ?????

damn... i should do that .. now im on boot image flashing WG CyanMod Ram hack v10.2 ...... >__> dunno works o not .. if not i should back to my cyanogen mod ..

how to install .apk file inside sdcard via adb ???

Added on December 24, 2009, 7:24 amhow to disable the 3g line ???? im using maxis prepaid WITHOUT subscribe any 3g plan by Maxis ,, but after i boot / flash any ROM the 3g automatically on ... then it keeps draining my credit ... that SUCKS!!!!! .. y suddenly turn my 3g on back this few days .... y dont at the 1st time i insert my sim card .. is this sumkind of maxis evil plan .. ???

and it force me to delete the APN list .. and weird y every time i change my ROM the APN set automatically .. if got ways i want to noe how to disable 3g without deleting APN , any 1?

i did disable the mobile at my power control and also my Beautiful Widget 2.53 newest (paid) .. but still not working tough ..

me too noob to be true .. the newest version of nandroid backup can backup many ROM version .. it will set date .. and soo on .. so that i can backup alot of ROM ..

now i got vanilla , Cyanogen , Myhero(sense) and Eclair stable coming soon

did the nandroid backup on htc hero recovery mode can do the same thing ?? coz im using Amon_ra Recovery 1.5.2H
and ur version alil bit old .. is it same nandroid back up ..?? if its same so u also be able to put alot of backup ..

sry if interrupting, we as early stage android user in this subforum did the best we could already, to guide those newbie here. Sometimes they do ask same thing all over again by posting inside existing thread and also some of them do pm us. Still sum of us did answer their question patiently . We trying our best to guide u for free, for what? just to gain our android user number here and keep they informed with credible source infos and guide. So I hope u can understand and not take it as something that offended u.
For real some of them really did pm me to ask something related... but I do enjoy answering their question becoz I do love androidOS so much and I don't want either one of them brick their phone. No offense.

Did any 1 noe how to setup google android contact sync? Coz I always changing rom so when I connect to internet with different rom, it automatically save and duplicate current contact list that I import from sim card. So now my contact list become shi* with 800 contact, same duplicate contact entry(i originally got around 200 contact only). So it could be a pain in as* if I have to delete it manually.
*I always import my contact list from sim card after changing rom, not connect to internet 1st so it will automatically sync my saved contact list based on my default gmail that I did in previous rom I flashed.. coz its not easy to get into wifi area in short time after I flash any rom.
