why is it so slow in Malaysia?

hopefully it's cheap here in Malaysia... the tentative RRP i got from sony style KLCC about 2 weeks ago is RM999. a bit expensive IMO

it's way too expensive considering the announced price of usd199. in fact, im considering sigma 1770 for its short mfd but im lacking a dedicated macro lens. so might as well wait till it available locally or get it from sg.
