QUOTE(weixuan @ Nov 2 2009, 08:37 PM) why is it so slow in Malaysia? it's way too expensive considering the announced price of usd199. in fact, im considering sigma 1770 for its short mfd but im lacking a dedicated macro lens. so might as well wait till it available locally or get it from sg.hopefully it's cheap here in Malaysia... the tentative RRP i got from sony style KLCC about 2 weeks ago is RM999. a bit expensive IMO izwan898, welcome to the orange legion. pm amadeo for inclusion into the user list This post has been edited by countdracula: Nov 2 2009, 08:54 PM |

QUOTE(porkchop @ Nov 6 2009, 08:17 PM) wahh u all bad la.....anyway since i sendiri angkat mari, i wanna ask is it good to sacrifice tamron 17-50 to 16-105 now?? nice catch for a550, congrats! remember to post some pics here i hv both 1750 n 16105. been using 1750 all d while cos F2.8 can really gives me more room when shooting, sharp n fast. i like it very much. a bit regret for getting 16105. @jimlim007 : matrix metering is multi-segment metering in alpha systems |

QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ Nov 8 2009, 02:11 AM) ^ holy crap! what happened to her BCG? (referring to the 1st pic) thx for d tips, will take note btw, the 2nd pic should crop the model (and the tiang) to the left. always remember, this kind of shooting shouldn't let the model be in the middle (part of the rule of 3rd). overall, nice pics. do post more, bro. d scar was not detectable during shootout. it's oni be noticed while reviewing it on d LCD. overall, tis a good outing n i find d models r ok, maybe tis my 1st time. @lanusb : settings used... P:ISO200:0 +1 +1:DT55200.... i semakin like tis lens, it gives me good coverage compared with 50F1.4 unless u wan nicer bokeh where 50F1.4 really shines Pic 1 @75mm : Pic 2 @135mm : Pic 3 @120mm Some pics brightness were affected by nearby flashes, so it may not represent the correct exposure. R u thr in d workshop? @hokc77 bro, very nice shots particularly #3. mind to share whr did u point d flash? This post has been edited by countdracula: Nov 8 2009, 01:24 PM |

QUOTE(amadeo @ Nov 19 2009, 01:07 AM) mainly due to ISO200 consistency n lack of MLU. i dun use MLU but i use ISO200 very oftenly. coupled with lack of steadyshot button, my option is to look forward to A700 replacement. but, A550 did score marks on hi ISO, AF, HDR n manual check LV. |

QUOTE(Banzai_san @ Nov 21 2009, 08:41 AM) Had a look at a550 in Centre Point, KKinabalu. Hold and tested it a bit. Quite nice. Much better handling ergonomics than a230, a330. One thing which I found to be slightly discomforting is the shutter button. Have to be careful when pressing the shutter button to auto focus as pressing it slightly can trigger the shot, rather than just wanting to auto focus. But I guess user will get use to this. banzai_san, cannot resist de poison dy? hahaha...Which memory card (brand, size, speed etc) do you guys reccommend for the a550? There's 2 slots there. Im seriously considering getting a a550, maybe the a550 and CZ1680 bundle. holiday season is a good time for shopping bernama7, wats "hama"?
