it's way too expensive considering the announced price of usd199. in fact, im considering sigma 1770 for its short mfd but im lacking a dedicated macro lens. so might as well wait till it available locally or get it from sg.

i hv both 1750 n 16105. been using 1750 all d while cos F2.8 can really gives me more room when shooting, sharp n fast. i like it very much. a bit regret for getting 16105.

d scar was not detectable during shootout. it's oni be noticed while reviewing it on d LCD. overall, tis a good outing n i find d models r ok, maybe tis my 1st time.

@lanusb : settings used... P:ISO200:0 +1 +1:DT55200.... i semakin like tis lens, it gives me good coverage compared with 50F1.4 unless u wan nicer bokeh where 50F1.4 really shines

guys, juz now i was at sony service centre. at the entrance posted a promotional notice... 1 of de promo is 15% off for accessories (except vaio, playstation & sony ericsson). venue is sony style klcc from 13 to 17 nov but i did not seek further info, i wonder if alpha accessories included.

i think he means A550+16105. a 5mdh can fit a body with lens plus a flash n additional lens size of 70300G.

for those who r still undecided whether to go for A550, photoclubalpha.com juz posted a hands-on review on tis model. check it out guys...

mainly due to ISO200 consistency n lack of MLU. i dun use MLU but i use ISO200 very oftenly. coupled with lack of steadyshot button, my option is to look forward to A700 replacement. but, A550 did score marks on hi ISO, AF, HDR n manual check LV.
