this thread should be sticked.....if CC thread can, why can't our thread? biggrin.gif

After RM50 "service tax" on CC implementated next year, more ppl will run to debit cards. haha

PB Day2Day VISA is better than PB Visa Electron, cause still there are some merchants who don't accept Visa Electron.

It is now possible with PBB D2D VISA debit card. My friend tried it just a few weeks ago. Not too sure about other types of debit card though.

You can use it at all stores displaying VISA and Mastercard logo.

Yes. The Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card also serves as your ATM card to access your savings/current account over the ATM, just like Maybank Cherry series of debit card. The reward system for PBB D2D VISA debit card is better than Maybank Cherry series of debit card.

Yes. Exactly what he/she was trying to say.

As long as you are at least 12 years old you are qualified for all range of Public Bank debit cards. However, please note that for PBVE you must keep RM25 of deposit inside the account at all time. As for Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card, the minimum deposit must be kept inside the account is only RM1 at all time.

feeling the CC has more points & rewards compare to DC. anyway, i will cancel all my CC & keep 1 only to avoid paying RM50 to gov for them to masuk their bloody pockets, stupid leader made stupid decision on budget 2010.

I have few cards for diff promotion: Citibank Shell card to get rebate when pump petrol, Citibank Giant card to get rebate when shop in Giant, RHB Tesco card to get rebate when shop in Tesco, IKEA card to get free coffee when go to the curve etc.

Stupid leaders of malaysia, I will know who to vote in next election! Damn!

that is stil too early to make desicion whether to cancel or not the cc.
banks side will definitly doing some 'action', give them some times , i believe they on process of meeting & think out some 'strategy'.
who knows when gov take 50, but banks give anothers kind of rebate that worth 50?
who knows when gov take 50, banks side give more benifits of card?

I already have this Public Bank VISA Electron. Should I cancel it and get Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit instead? Seems more easy to use. Lazy have to go to the PB bank to reload the PBVE sweat.gif

BTW, the intention to incur RM50 is to control ppl dun sign so many cards & hutang a lot but if those who used to hutang CC payment, they already owed banks few thousand or more, so RM50 to them is nothing, they dun care at all. BUt for ppl like me who used CC for saving money, I dun owed CC coz I settle every months, so RM50 to me is big money. 1 card RM50, i have 6 cards total RM300 per year for the tax...I hope what u said will come true, i really hope that...but chances is slim lo blink.gif

www.malaysiaairlines.com
www.singaporeairlines.com
www.cathaypacific.com
www.airasia.com
www.amazon.com

and many more. As long as they have the VISA or Mastercard displayed then it means your debit cards are accepted.

If you use for online transaction a lot then PBVE is actually a better card as the exposure is not as great as PBB D2D VISA. PBB D2D VISA is directly linked to your savings/current account whereas PBVE is not. You can apply for PBB e-banking and transfer the money to your PBVE online from your savings/current account whenever you need it. This way you won't have to go to PBB to reload your PBVE anymore.

Public Bank VISA Electron is a good card i can say, u can review previous Debit Card V1 for information.
since it doesn not linked to saving/current account, i plan to apply one, but not now, because i believe bank's customer service counter are full or people now, they going to cancel credit card.
1 year RM24 lower than cc RM50, and lower than nexG prepaid mastercard 1 month RM3.
