Psst, can buy indoor bicycle machine.
Can *cycle* next to your baby. Definitely not as nice as being on the tarmac/mud but it's still exercise (better than nothing).

I think... M575 is better and it is not expensive, around RM200.

from the review, to get better brake force, they suggest to use bigger rotor together with m575.
what is the disadvantage of using bigger rotor ? hmm.gif weight different too significant ka ?

haha ok

just do my budget to upgrade from vbrake to disc brake. currently using xt vbrake and stx hub.

deore hub - RM180 smile.gif
M545 white/gold - RM230 laugh.gif
Rotor - RM80(second hand -big one tongue.gif )

RM490 cry.gif

any idea how I can cut more cost. selling my old set will earn me rm150 or less.. sweat.gif .

next upgrade hint : AM fork tongue.gif

Do you really need to upgrade your XT V-brakes to M545 Disc-brakes?
I'm sure that if you change the XC V-brake pads, you'll notice quite a noticeable difference.
Also, V-brakes are much lighter than Disc-brakes. However, V-brakes don't work as well as Disc-brakes under wet/muddy conditions (which I doubt you'll find yourself caught in, unless you go for a Mud-Fest).

You're already using a very good fork (Marzocchi?)
Just needa' service your current fork and save upgrading to a AM fork which may mess up the geometry of your XC-frame.

Just my 2 cents.
