QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Nov 5 2009, 12:13 AM) Okay, I get it now. Thanks for the fast replies. What tires are you using? Kenda Nevegal 2.1s? Referring to 1st bold phrase: If your riding slow, you should be able to avoid obstacles fast enough. Referring to 2nd bold phrase: Yes, I have cycled XC at FRIM (many times) and Kiara (once). i mean if u ride slow, u have bal issue since the handle bar have limited movement, if fast no bal issue but avoiding obstacle problem. sniper will have 1st Callaway kick stand

for bike high, the bike upper frame should have 2-3 inches clearance from ur crotch when u standing with both feet flat on ground n bike between the leg.
<1k u probabily can get a very entry lvl bike aka "sport utility bike", unless u get a 2nd hand.
IMHO if getting a new bike, get one without any suspension since u probably get a poorly made front suspension for bike <1k.

QUOTE(MattJ @ Nov 6 2009, 10:14 PM) In a dilemma. Want to buy a beginner's bike budget range 1500 to 2K. Merida, Orbea, Giant or Trek bikes. Any recommendation? And Model pls looking for size 16. Just basic bike. Will upgrade components later when bonus comes in. yukon disk for this budget, scott also not bad. confirmed giant 2010 model will be in earlier of next month. if you can wait, then you can get discounted 2009 model.

Airline (not budget ariline) allow 1 bike per passenger. you need to remove the handle bar n lower the seat post. also release teh tire air. if have box, it will be better for ur own bike sake.
anyone here from Penang? i think this morning i meet u in frim trip this morning in Puchong Bike Hash ride..

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Nov 9 2009, 10:37 AM) Nice...I'm curious about Tange though. How does that compare? I know Kona n Marin use Tange extensively in their line up due to the weight profile.
