juicy 3 is avid's entry level hydro brakes, comparable to tektro auriga, entry level shimano and avid bb7 nia. if used and fried must be cheaper, around rm150
but yeah, at rm500 i would add abit more get hayes stroker(or get stroker 2nd hand). got good reviews on bikeradar and mtbr.com. Added on November 24, 2009, 10:37 amoh yea, deore 2010 brakes look nice, price also decent for the design. around rm300+ This post has been edited by radmaszeal: Nov 24 2009, 10:37 AM |

QUOTE(RayKazansky @ Nov 24 2009, 10:43 AM) BB7 is mid/high end mechanical. juicy 3 is entry level for hydro unless if avid make mechanical brakes with magnesium body, ceramic bearings, carbon levers, kevlar cables (got ah?) weighing under 300 grams only considered high end la QUOTE(sendoh_7 @ Nov 24 2009, 10:44 AM) heh. actually the IO has a crappy lever design. cant seem to do 1 finger braking for long rides cos it hurts. lol. on old bike, avid SD7 levers, 1 finger braking was easy and didnt cause much fatigue. but if wanna change to SD7 levers also around rm80+, add another hundred can get cheap shimano hydros edi |
