monthly of about RM766 (1/3 of yr salary), the maximum loan you will be looking for is about RM 60k - Rm 65k depending on interest rate and loan of 9years. Without down, Persona h-line, satria neo. both look sporty. With downpayment, Suzuki Swift (RM71k) Another option is Vios (RM 72k) but not sporty. Added on April 4, 2010, 8:32 pm how much is the downpayment for suzuki swift and vios and as i am actually working in the private sector
The prices they quoted is on the road (including insurance and roadtax) if i'm not mistaken. So the balance is the downpayment. If you are qualified, (meaning yr salary is more than 3 times the monthly installments and no bad records), then no issue of getting 9 yrs loan. People nowadays have no money for cars. So government stretches the loan so that it is affordable. regards, Added on April 5, 2010, 7:17 pm
Know of any but must also be within my budget & FC is important as well?
How badly are you going to use all the space in the MPV? If it is just 3 times a year (ie. Chinese new year, raya and Deepavali), then it is not worth while to get an MPV just for these holidays. If you use it at least 5 days a week (school days), yes! Get one. But like me, when i had my first new born, i was driving the savvy. We travelled light. Then, at my kampung (not actually in a kampung area), with the money i saved from buying a bigger car, i bought new clothes, diapers, walker etc..... But i sold my savvy coz the maintenance is high. What i'm trying to say is, do you need really all that space? This post has been edited by alcatrez: Apr 5 2010, 07:17 PM |

QUOTE(adamw @ Apr 6 2010, 08:21 AM) Saturday and Sundays 52 daysPublic holiday 16 days Assuming school holidays you take 20 days (around 40 working days but consider 20 days considering your leave) Total maximum usage days 88 days out of 365 days (less than 25%). I won't say you need it. My opinion. But the choice is yours coz your situation maybe different. regards, |

Oh, that was my 1st choice actually but after through searching & also actual viewing the size is a bit small. If there's 2nd hand I don't mind! But now I might just take a risk with the B-Line Exora 1.6M. New car, MPV within my budget, in fact lower! What do you think?

But now am thinking, is the ABS/EBD necessary? The passenger airbag I know is a good thing but I can save RM7K if I take the B-Line instead of the M-Line. Can the airbag or ABS/EBD be retrofitted later? What about the cost? |

QUOTE(iambenyap @ Apr 9 2010, 12:58 PM) don't compromise on safety. abs/ebd comes standard with almost all make/models in europe these days. That's my final conclusion also.there's no price to safety. you hope you never have to use the features but you'd sure want them to be there if ever you need to rely on it for any situation |
