New/Used/Unreg : Used (of course =D)

Specs : Whichever suitable with the price
Remarks : Needs to have a minimum of double Airbags, fully documented service with respective Toyota/Honda service centres, no crash history.

Hmm what i can think off is the used myvi around 30-40k range. If u insisted below 30k, a used kelisa or kenari from 2005 model is possible option.

Picanto is a fine car but i would choose a local car with japanese DNA rather than korean.

Alfa 155 and 146 from the 90st, but serious are u sure u wanna get those? Its a nightmare to maintain for sure.

Btw why not just settle for a new vios since u can afford 70k and above?

I'm not satisfied with the things that come with the lowest range Vios. I'm quite concerned about things like safety etc (New Vios doesn't come with any Airbags). So i might be looking for a high specs 2nd hand car

BTW, are there any recommended 2nd hand dealers offering 2nd hand Vios/City??

Dont know which one should get new saga or used honda city 03/04 year. New saga got warrantly but see forum seem got a lot problem even its new. Used City not sure the condition if just test driver for few minutes....really dont know which one should get.

If u want a brand new car & peace of mind, go for the new Saga..

But if you don't want a national car & u're more looking on better fuel consumption, go for the Honda City IDSi, but bear in mind that might be gearbox problem occurs in SOME older gen City. (Make sure everything is okay and it would be a good buy)

I don't think there's a SGTi comes with 6 speed tranny, unless there's transplant job done before.
It's hard to source a SGTi with that amount of money, perhaps, you should add up your budget..

Loans for a used/second hand car are usually higher than purchasing a new cars.

Loans can be arrange by dealer if u're purchase from a car dealer.

Avoid. Rare models means u have no idea where to get parts or servicing. Honda Mysia will not entertain u as well.

Try cahaya auto at Puchong or Cheras autocity.

U can afford for a new vios/city, or go for the forte. Usually u need to settle downpayment of min 10% of the car prize n 90% can be covered by loan. With approx 3k after epf/socso and with my 1/4 per month for ur monthly installment rule, u can afford at max RM800 per month. See how long u wanna take ur loan n how much u can pay for downpayment n u can then know what u can afford.

Avoid the QQ pls. Better be safe n go for a new myvi. Other alternatives including a new inokom/hyundai i10.

Hmm I have to say the forte has the best equipment n spec among these models. But I not sure when 2.0cc forte is coming here so why not go for the hyundai avante?

Pick the used city, its a much better car than the saga. Remember check the service record n test drive it, see if the CVT gearbox is working fine.

20k will get u a converted satria 1.6/1.3 to GTI i think. Since the car is reaching almost 10 yrs old dont ever think of getting a loan here.

3. its got two batch of city which are 7 gears and 5 gears? and from forum, 5 gears will not have gearbox problem.

look at forum, changing cvt gearbox would cost 20k.....
