can say comparable, depends on the games as well, some can play better with nvidia and vice versa.
as for overall value, can say g450 if you want a bit longer battery life than k40ab and k40ab for longer warranty

you just can't expect performance from culv notebook, they are not meant to be one in the first place.

since there's not much user in it, hence the less activity for it.
and only since not long time ago that they just upgraded their spec from g105m to g210m which now starting to gain some attention.

as for benchmark, can based on this though the cpu is weaker in this review, but its the same gpu, perhaps can expect some increase in fps for lenovo g450

I'm studying abroad next year and wanted a laptop for myself. Here's what I want.
1. im fine wif any brand but best if acer (wats de best laptop for acer?)
2. loose budget. around 3.5k is fine
3. compatible with games like l4d or fifa (probably 2g/4gram with good graphic card) owh, i dunwan compatible only, i want dem to be lagless
4. im fine wif the size but i dun want it to be heavy. must got webcam =.=

i dun need super performance laptops, as long as can online and play game can adi.

if studying abroad and want light,
consider Asus U80V, 2 years international warranty, 2.1kg, got ati HD4570.
if want light but better performance, BenQ S42, p8700 + Nvidia 9600M GT
or abit heavier, BenQ S57, p8700 + HD4650.
All still under 3.5k~

so i compare the FSB and L2cache make the difference?
regarding the Ghz? the SU series processor has lower Ghz but might be the higher L2 cache and higehr FSB
*
for Core 2, yes, FSB and cache do make a difference... but not as high an impact as the clock speed itself...

I saw others tread which astria said that c2duo cannot support ddr3 ram. how about gpu ddr3? can it support?
*
whether u can use DDR3 on a Core 2 platform, depends on the mobo chipset...

the current 4 series chipset do support DDR3...

what i meant was, DDR3 dun give u significant performance gain compared to DDR2...

If for the graphics card according to http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphi...List.844.0.html

The Acer Timeline 4810TG with HD4330 would be better. But surely bottlenecked by the Processor which is C2D 1.4GHz

For balanced get the Acer 4736G although the G105M is abit weaker. You get a better processor in return biggrin.gif

4810TG better, but those only have basic gpu.
if want better performance, consider BenQ S42, p8700 and Nvidia 9600M GT, similar/cheaper price than 4810TG and benq s42 is heads away in term of performance than 4810TG

the GT130M is using DDR2 as vram, its worse than BenQ S42 that you can get below 3k.

if your budget reach till acer 5935G, consider Dell Studio XPS 16, much better choice.
Acer lately don't really have any good deal in gaming department.

The NEW Aspire 5935G has quite OK specs, it is using P8700 2.53GHz CPU, 4GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GT 240M 1GB DDR3 RAM.
