which model of studio 15? the rm 2699 or rm 3299.
in term of gpu, the dell studio 15 is better in term of cpu. the u80v wins if studio 15 is rm 2699 version else, the studio 15 winds warranty.... u80v has 2 years in default, while dell need to upgrade to 3 years to become international. as for weight, u80v (2.1kg), studio 15 (2.5kg) |

If I'm not mistaken, you need to upgrade the warranty to 3 years if want international warranty.
QUOTE The Dell International Service Program1 provides service and support for your Dell portable computer while you are traveling with it outside of the country in which you purchased your computer. How The Program Works * On both Latitude and Inspiron products, the Dell International Service Program is available when 3 years of Next Business Day (NBD) On-site service2 is purchased. * When a customer travels outside of their home country and experiences a problem, they can request international service in any country that supports their particular line of notebook. Below is a complete listing of countries covered by Latitude and Inspiron products. http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/top...&l=en&cs=mybsd1 |

QUOTE(ljf123 @ Dec 4 2009, 07:29 PM) ddr2 is using 1.8v while ddr3 is using 1.5v, which by theory ddr3 should save battery life, but in reality it just around 5 minutes...as for performance wise, its still insignificant but ddr3 definitely is the future, but as price, ddr2 still cheaper. QUOTE(ChickenWing @ Dec 4 2009, 08:30 PM) Yup, its better than U80v...the main factor here is the warranty...with U80v, you can get 2 years International Warranty while with Dell Studio 15, its only Global Warranty unless you picked-up the 3 years warranty to make it Internationally |
