Kyo,

Don't get you on the guitar. Wha-wha-whaat? Fallout 3 GOTY still on shrinkwrap. Playing Bayonetta first now.

Evil,

18 in the States. As for the "permission", it's from my beloved. More of a formality than anything, or to appease her inquisitive mind on what guys do in Vegas. I'll get her The Hangover DVD so that she get the "rough" idea. laugh.gif

Waiting for me, Kyo?

Just woke up. Pegi Shah Alam semalam lepak with friends. Need to check up with them on how the operation is going to KLAX. Sorang is on the 747 fleet the other 777. Both dah pegi, so they are valuable info source, and glean as much info from them as I can. Both batchmate, sama2 go through the hard times in Tamworth.

Hmmmm, what to do and where should I go today? hmm.gif

UGPM, Kyo.

Not much of a help on the info side though.

I can easily get games from GameStop at Del Amo Mall close to the hotel I'm staying in LA. What is even easier, and probably there is a savings to be made if done this way, is to buy through Amazon and ship it to the hotel.

Me the non-typical pilot.

Last time when the main airport was Subang, and no KLIA yet, they say, campak batu into a crowd in Subang Jaya, you are bound to either hit a pilot, a steward/stewardess, or any other MAS staff. That is how common they are at that time. Now, Bukit Jelutong, RasahKEmayan, Kota Kemuning, and the area around there becomes that saturated area where you see MAs staff all the time.

Me? I stay where my needs are, and my needs are basically around things I do when I'm offduty. Makes no sense to stay close to the airport, but when it comes to the time to be relaxin' and doing things you like to when you're offduty, you had to go travel to KL, or compromise your shopping in places like Seremban or Alamanda in Putrajaya. No thanks.

I stay in Keramat AU2. 15 minutes from KLCC, 20 minutes from Bukit Bintang and Lowyat Plaza. Perfect place for me. nod.gif

Another good reason to stay far from work is that they cannot afford to call me for standby duties because the flight is bound to be delayed if they do. Clever eh? *taps the side of forehead*

Ermmmm,no. I opened up my place last time, and the bitter experience of what happened still haunts me till today. Since those days, I picked and chose my friends closely and more meticulously. Yes, even PSN and XBL "friends". I don't want to be backstabbed again, the old wounds still stings and hurts.

The main reason why I opted to stay away from these MAS-staff-saturated areas is because, when people of the same workplace stay close together, their conversation pieces tend to revolve around work all the time. They can't seem to "switch off" from their work mode, even when they are already offduty.

I like my conversation pieces to be more broad and varied. I dont want to talk about work all the time, I can do that while I'm at work, thank you very much. You dont get the sense of who a person is until you get to know them better, and to know them better, is to engage them in conversations other than that which is in their comfort zone. For example here, everyone talks games all the time, but once in a while a personality-related info and hints gets dropped in when the conversation here swayed to a topic which interests a particular group of people here. THAT is when you now their character, their personality. Otherwise, all you know about me, and you and the others here is that we all just play videogames. That would be dull and boring, wouldn't it? wink.gif

Worse. The damage is not physical, but emotional. That wound cuts deep. Betrayal of trust usually cut that deep. I'm a very loyal person, and as a friend, I do everything in my power to help you, in which some would feel going too much out of the way to help them, and there must be something there is in for me that would spur me to help them that much. I don't blame them, because we are all raised to believe that when things are too good to be true, they usually are. But I believe that I've demonstrated that I've nothing to gain other than your own trust and that hopefully I can rely on you when I myself needed help. The iPhone Tumpang is an example I would use. And look how vehemently opposed it was by the controlling body here, thinking that there was monetary benefits to be had for me in that "deal".

But when that friendship and trust is betrayed, I shrank back into my safe zone, and for a while, I did not trust anybody after that and went on being selfish for myself. Later on, someone came into my life and showed me that I can still be my old self, and remain cautious about your circle of friend if you want to. That "circle of friends" has since grown into a close-knitted and strong bonded group of friends that I've ever had. I trust them with my life if I have to. smile.gif

I play my PSP GO while I'm taking the RapidKL bus. Or while waiting for the bus, or inside the LRT. Touch wood, nothing has happened so far, but I'm not inclined to stop using my GO just because snatch thievery is threatening me from doing so. That is bowing to the will of these bastards. No way!

There were peeks and sneaks, but nothing more than that. Certainly not the kind that would generate enough lust to "steal" one.

Getting better. I freely admit Heroes S3 sucks.

Isaac Mendez is back in that new episode in Season 4. It's so cute and heartwarming to see Hiro saving his love-interest, Charlie.

Broadening my choice of shows as well. Watching FlashForward, Fringe and the new reimagining of the 90's TV series "V" just went live yesterday, with its pilot episode. Free for download from iTunes as well, in High Definition. Morena Baccarin is hot!

oooh V!

I heard it's coming to Malayan TV soon. How's Flash Forward?
*
FlashForward is gaining momentum. They still have not explained or speculate on how the worldwide blackout happened, but those strange monuments they found on the satellite image is clueing them into going to worldwide locations. The premise was that the entire planet blacked out for 2 minutes 17 seconds, and saw 30 seconds of their future 6 months ahead. Some are racing to achieve that future if it is favourable to them, while others are trying to prevent them from happening. All while trying to figure out who or what caused the blackout. Blacked out = unconscious. So there were major catastrophes like planes crashing into building, building on fire and car crashes while its drivers blacked out while driving on freeways.

my wife told me bout V - i never had the oppoturnity to watch when i was a kid - no VHF antenna maaa... LOL

is it available here - the pilot episode?
*
The old V was campy at best. It was disturbing last time watching Diana slurping in a live rat as her snack, but rewatching it, the special effect does not hold up good now. Looks LOLerific at best.

The Pilot episode is available on US iTunes Store as a free download, in High Definition.

I fully expect for either V or FlashForward to helm the sci-fi genre after BSG and Lost finishes next year.

I'm still trying to find. The current released DVDs are either incomplete or just hand-picked episodes. So I'm gonna leave it at that until they announces the complete boxset. I have two episodes "favourited" on Youtube, the Richard Simmons episode. Here's they are:-

I burst out laughing every single time I watch those. Every.....single......time. No fail! laugh.gif That Irish Drinking Song they had to stop the recording for a while because everybody cannot stop laughing! Drew was laughing like he's gonna piss his pants off! laugh.gif

Okay.

You need to time the shipping so that it arrives between Wednesday and Saturday next week, so that the hotel can pass the package to me. The same goes to you too Swatty.

Added on November 5, 2009, 8:32 pmPersonally, I don't know what I need to get for myself. Shopping around online, but nothing seems to interest me.
