O.I.C ... I thought the battery will "overcharged" if we plug it in while we are using the AC adapter at the same time? It will not spoil the battery? For instance, the battery life span.  hmm.gif

That is my opinion, not sure true or not..need to ask other experts hmm.gif hmm.gif

It will cut charging at 100%.. you wont feel the battery warm anymore.. anyways at the battery icon will state : "Fully Charged, Plugged In" instead of "Charging 100%" lol

If you want to be sure use Battery Bar biggrin.gif When charging u will see +xx.xxxmW, when discharge u will see -xx.xxxmW, when fully charged u see +0.000mW

Still this is hard to explain to some ppl as they prefer to believe what their buddies said? LoL..

I believe in studio xps 16 power management, there got one option to stop charging the battery, until the notebook is restarted, then it only will start charging hmm.gif

Dear Dell Studio XPS Users:

Are there any owners/users of Dell Studio XPS who bought their laptops via SA instead of online buying or shops? I want to know whether the owners/users who bought their laptops via SA received any "special or extra" offers or promotions besides of the online's promotions. Mind to share with us? Thanks in advance!

This is true.. the heat produced would be the main enemy of the battery.. Since the battery life will degrade due to heat faster..

The cooler pad would be usefull to draw heat away from the battery..

I would like to ask whether Dell Studio XPS 16 is suitable enough for me as I usually will use my laptop for AutoCAD, MATLAB, Visual Basic, and Office. My current laptop was quite lag when I want to open the AutoCAD 2010 application. Is it because of processor or ? My current processor is Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz and NVidea GeForce 8400M GS (128MB) graphic card.

Yea, you are right! It was slow when I want to open the app. However, my HDD was not really loaded as I put most of my docs in my external HDD. As for RAM, I have 4 GB RAM (667 MHz). hmm.gif
