hi good day to u all, can i ask who xps1647 user use 320gb hdd in total,Cause my notebook order list suppose is 320gb but i receive my notebook inside the hdd properties it gv me 283gb in total? is it ultilie the basic software or gv wrong space to me?

Thats normal.. even a 500GB HDD is not 500GB its 46XGB iinm..

my Dekstop Harddisk is 500GB its actual is only 465GB..

It will always not be exact 500GB

Take for example even 8GB Micro SD is not 8GB its only 7.5GB..

iinm you won't get the total HDD available for usage because small fraction of it is required for HDD back up am i right?

That's one factor.
The reason is because the different definition by the marketing and computer.
In marketing, 1KB = 1000Byte while for computer 1KB = 1024Byte
Hence, for the stated 500GB is actually only 465GB.
500 000 000 000 / (1024*1024*1024) = 465GB
and the same with other hdd size...

U mean which has a better performance?Definitely the SXPS 16 since it has either P8700,i5 or i7 to choose from

What are your usage?Bear in mind one is 13" and the other is a 15.6" and both are like day and night when compared

im confuse between choosing the smaller or bigger..
i want to bring it to class but i also use it for multimedia and gaming..

i just have my hand on the xps..damn nice..but too hot..

Indeed.The SXPS 16 is hot, normal for some, but definitely hot for me Get a good laptop cooler dude....will help reduce the temperature

By the way guys, i'm gonna order my SXPS 16 RM3599 configuration tomorrow.I had to forgo getting the i5-540m as it costs RM4441 which in return, would save me up to RM800 Blerghhh.......gonna change another laptop after 2-3 years anyway

Hoping to get a discount for the RM3599 configuration although chances would be slim.Gimme a targus bag is enough or are there better freebies i should ask for

im thinking modify my cooler master, the fan speed put it max can even blow a slice tissue up aihhh....
