yes, 5% cash back for Saturdays and Sundays. Cash back for principal card holder only and capped at RM50 monthly. Nothing hard to not believe as it is not like the cash back is unlimited.

And with a merchant rate of about 5%, they don't lose but will instead make more as not everyone will monitor their rebates until exactly RM50 whistling.gif

To be exact, its a Maybank Amex Platinum Credit Card and it entirely different class from AMEX's Amex Platinum Credit Card without the Maybank Logo.

RETAIL means must swipe the card terminal?
How about TNB/Celcom/TM/utilities bills? If I pay bills during weekends, what do I get?

Added on January 19, 2011, 12:03 pmBy the way, does Amex provide bill payment convenience? Sorry I'm not Amex user.

For TNB and TM, you need to sign up for auto debit. They do not accept AMEX over the counter.

You can pay for your AMEX over the counter at any RHB Bank, BSN and of course Maybank. Payment can also be made by cheque at any Maybank cheque deposit machine or cash via cash deposit machine. IBG is also another option. However, certain banks do not support IBG payment to AMEX Charge Card.

I mean, can I pay utilities bills using Amex Online (M2U?) ??

It's a hassle to go to TM/TNB, worse if mesin rosak. Since nowadays most banks enable online bill payment, who want to go out find parking & waste time queuing up?

Anyway, I like its 5% cashback anywhere (capped RM50). Better than DA MC which restricts spending at Tesco/Giant/Guardian/etc.

i'm just asking whether can use Amex to pay utilities bills online. Now confirm cannot already, I can just use other card ie. OCBC Ti.

I will deem Amex as a replacement of DA MC.
