I think this is why maybank offers two cards in one- a.ka. Maybankard 2 cards
it sounds quite attractive as the cash back 5% during weekend in which most people do their shopping!!!
In addition, the 5x TP everywhere spent on AMEX is another bonus point- just wonder are these features permanent or just over a short period as Maybank do not specify it! But i presume it should be full time.
I applied this through phone conversation with AMEx officer today.

It seems like my AMEX gold charge card does not have much advantage over this new card!!
But plus point for my charge card- no preset limit and also the new cards share total credit limit with my existing maybank platinum card.

agree with you, who needs turbo points now that we can get 5X points with Maybank Dua Card. But I will keep my charge card simpy because of the member since 88 and pay RM50 every year to shiok sendiri.

I just apply over the phone like you. This new card gets you 5% cash back and 5X points and every Saturdays and Sundays. Hard for others to follow.

The girl who attended me said she had a hard time promoting the Maybank Dua cards (as she calls it) due to the Visa 1X points. I guess for poeple who never carry an AMEX will say AMEX no good lah, many places don't accept it. Too bad my insurance policies still cannot be charged to AMEX else damn a lot of points with 5X.

The cashback 5% during weekend not stated on maybank2u.com, is that you speak with the customer service and they inform you?

5x + 5% is about 7.5% rebate, quite interesting..

Can apply for Maybankard Dua over the phone ???

5% cashback for weekend shopping is feature of the Maybankard Dua AMEX

if you MBB card holder yes. Got my latest MBB MC Plat by just calling them up over the phone. And it alos depends who you speak too, some of them wants a copy of your IC whereas some don't even ask.

The only thing is can't apply for a supp card over the phone together with new application whereas you can if you download the application form and fax over to MBB.

Maybank CS tells me Maybankard 2 Amex Platinum is entitled for airport lounge access.

Taking it with a pinch of salt until more info available, as I think the correct info may not be available. ("Belum pergi training")

You're right. The information is not 100% correct for the time being. Plus, in their application form, the portion to fill up supplementary cardholder details are not available. Had called CS to escalate.

HI, i apply BT from other bank to Amex Gold Credit Card. The 0% interest for 12 months still applicable right? I already BT it last week, but until now still no news from them. So i wanna know what is the max. amount of limit can BT? how many % of credit limit?

Petrol transactions using Maybankard 2 are entitled to 5% and 5x TP?

Based on available information, all spending on weekends are entitled to 5% cashback and 5X TP.
However, I just can't believe it.
I am expecting further details from MBB (and from LYN members here).

It's all RETAIL spending on weekends will be entitled 5% cash back.

yes, 5% cash back for Saturdays and Sundays. Cash back for principal card holder only and capped at RM50 monthly. Nothing hard to not believe as it is not like the cash back is unlimited.
