As far as I know, fresh grads in KL are lucky if they get paid RM2k and above. I'm not sure about annual increments, but is there such a possibility that 2 years working experience can get you to RM3200? If yes then I'll definitely consider asking for more biggrin.gif

less than 2 years working experience also can get up to rm4-5k depending on which company u are joining. i'm with EDS btw smile.gif

It's more to which industry you are joining.

i.e. for a pilot, fresh grad, 5 digit?

Lol, I have no idea. I don't want to come across as being a poser, like just because I have some work experience in NYC I think I'm all that and that I'm sooo much better than everyone else. Get what I mean? I guess sometimes you have to be realistic...
*
Don't be a poser, but don't undersell yourself. I don't like the typical Malaysian management attitude of paying peanuts and expecting something more than a monkey. I was in NYC myself and got a decent salary when I came back to Malaysia.

Agree with kons about salary being industry specific. I think a general perception about marketing in Malaysia is that it's kind of a jack-of-all-trades thing. Notice how in classified ads any Tom, d*** (for some reason its censored) and Harry can work in marketing ("Job requirements: Degree/Diploma in any field" ...........  hmm.gif )?
d.i.c.k is always censored laugh.gif

if u want a proper job, find a good company to begin with. its hard find worth it if u manage to find one.

You are so right! I had a friend, 5 years working experience and manager in HUGE company here, went back to KL and was offered a job with another HUGE company as regional manager. Guess what? Pay only RM5k. For regional manager?! Come on....anyway she jumped ship to Singapore biggrin.gif Oh, and the recruiters were really rude to her, they said "If you're so experienced, what for come back to KL?"
*
Regional manager 5k only? that is too damn underpaid man...even my senior colleagues who is doing UNIX is earning about rm6-8k doh.gif

when we r looking for a job, don't always look at how high is the offer but how potential is the prospect . earning big bucks fr US or SG is nothing to shout about , but how far can u go with the job is more important. working for big / Top500 company will give u a platform as a start but the ladders to climb is higher n more steps to take, along the way there are lots of rules, regulations n protocols to follow, which makes u a good follower. to start with a small company might not give u a good foundation but a good stage to grow urself independently as many of time u r required to do one-leg-kicking task , green light is easier to obtain as access for plan approval is closer and faster, exposures are different....

he is doing as IT Exec also, i not very sure what is his job title. As i know Intel standardize salary by education level but not acording to what field you study because i do as intern there before.
btw i am satisfy with my job salary now, just share it FYI. wink.gif

Currently I'm working as MNC A. Recently i got an offer from a singapore company B but located in Malaysia.
The salary package offer is above average, should i quit my job and go for the company B?
If i turn down the offer sure got a lot ppl said i'm stupid, but i dun really like the new company as its smaller and i still ok with my current job.
