Half technical half management.

Well I know a guy who earns a lot - UK company (based in Malaysia). He het's his european pay (say 25000 RM nett) plus his allowance 150 RM nett per day spent in Malaysia (say on average 3500 RM nett), hotel and taxis are fully paid by the company.
And he gets tax relief in the UK (few thousand pounds).
I think all-in-all he get about 35k per month nett. That's decent...

How's Dresden? I find it very dull and boring, on the other hand the architecture there is amazing (thwe whole city was rebuilt after WW2). Very "German" though...

Here goes mine:-

Job Title : Investment Analyst
Job scope : Prepare and monitor portfolio strategy, analyse companies for investment
Company : The largest unit trust company in M'sia... hehehe
Experience before joining : fresh grad
Tenure: 3 years
Education Lvl: B.Eng (Hons) from Imperial College
salary: 25++

Anyway, I did an engineering degree... now, working as an investment analyst. Eventhough, I have few reservations about the job but it didn't deter me to learn new things... hence, within 3 years I have proven to be at least on-par if not better with my colleagues who's doing degree in Investment related field.

To some of you out there, the investment world is not so bad... in a growing economy like last year some friends I know (err, not from my company) make loads of money... 24 months bonus paid quarterly plus 40% salary increment... now he earns about 15k per month. BUT of course the job is like the investment itself... risky and volatile at certain times.

I would like to jump ship but I can't... bonded punye pasal. Still have 4 more years to go... sad.gif

Nope. Mid management. Big company though...

Not worth to spend too much time in Dresden. Either jump on the train and go to Berlin or Wroclaw in Poland (Breslau). Both much better than Dresden...

And if you really wanna see true Germany, go to Munich, Frankfurt, Dortmund, Berlin, Hamburg etc... Munich is nice.

Have a feeling it must be Accenture. No one else can do this in the job market. So, is life is there as stressful as ppl say?
*
Is there an IT job out there that isn't stressful? biggrin.gif

Yes I had my share of working till 10pm, for 7 days a week, even on public holidays. If u're developing software for clients, that happens quite often due to the nature of the job. There are peak periods, then there are offpeak periods.

But for the same workload with many other IT jobs out there, the pay's better. smile.gif
Still young. Can take a little stress when you're young wink.gif
