depends on which card u use in windows right before the reboot ... using vista bios will be troublesome when u switch the card in windows and leave it there ...the xserver will have error since the script for the intel doesn't fit the 9600 ..it's better to go for xp-bios for more stable OS

but if like that the battery life will drop also ..since the 9600 is still on but not recognised ...

Yup, this one true...i installed Ubuntu without flashing the bios...the battery life for sure is not that consistent...just like you said, for more stable better flash the bios nod.gif

ya both card active, but only one of them is in use, the other still drain ur battery but has nothing to do with ur OS

thanks weiyap..now i understand..then no point for me YET to install ubuntu...maybe some master will develop hybrid graphic for ubuntu[hopefully]??
