anyone hav experience of claiming warranty to SEAGATE ? about sending hdd to seagate... we must send it by pos instead of sending my ownself ?
*
I think your HDD have bad sector..that's why it kept hanging everytime you install new OSes or when you are using it, hangs for some moments...maybe you can try LLF (Low Level Format)..see if that can help you nod.gif...

Added on October 6, 2009, 7:03 am@double
Try disabling the 5100 first...uninstall the USB one also...then install again with the 5100 disabled...worth a try...i also encounter this before, this steps work for me tongue.gif

@jakuraz
mind telling what game did you played for 3 long hours before it auto shutdown?? hmm.gif

I also S42 (P8600)...well, played GRID for almost 4 hours without any cooler and also with Dox modded driver 185.85, didn't auto shutdown...

Played Prototype for 5 long hours at peak temp of 87C...didn't shutdown also...

I guess there something wrong with your laptop...better send to BenQ SC, like BBXiong did, they change the fan unit and now his laptop are running games under 90C at most...except for those high graphic demanding games nod.gif
