Added on October 4, 2009, 11:15 pmabt the fire alarm thingy... the big brother of the Residence (he's in-charge during non office hours in place of the Managers) already says...

whoever he was, he'll be slapped with a AU$5.5k fine by the Fire Dept, kicked out of the Residence, kicked out of Uni, and if he's an int'l student, gets his Visa cancelled...

Added on October 5, 2009, 4:10 amhey guys, if i connect an external USB wireless receiver to my lappy, and i leave my wireless on, which would receive the signal?
*
in windows i am not quite sure, but in UBuntu or linux, if u want to use the usb wifi, switch off the internal at booting, then plug ur usb wifi , when start into the OS with a ready to use desktop, turn the switch on again. By this time, only the usb will be detected.

anyone can give comments on Creative Inspire T10 and Creative Gigaworks T20 Series II???

deciding on which to buy... T20 cost twice as much as T10...
*
both of them can't really satisfy me ... coz they have no real woofer ... pretty down on the bass side...vocal is still ok...u shud fined a 2.1 type

Added on October 5, 2009, 9:41 pmand btw, the output of t20 is just 14watts in total ... a bit too small, my cheap sonic gear morro 521 already more than that ...

Added on October 5, 2009, 9:43 pmtry look at this ... see available in australia not.

btw i thought for T20 is 14W per channel???

Added on October 5, 2009, 9:52 pmand i dun ve so much space to put the sub-woofer sa well...
*
it's 14watts in total .. that's why it's not a very good one...but u have to judge ur room size as well, a normal bedroom shud be fine with it...not like my hostel, i need a higher power rated speaker.

what about this?
edifier mp300 2.1, small for the size
http://www.spotit.com.au/items.aspx?id=43781
*
i heard the sound quality before, the satellites are too small to create a good soundstage and vocal ... but the bass is impressive for such a small size...just that it sounds a bit hard...

lol afaik no such thing, ur bass will screw up the direction la, cause it position itself in front. not side or anything.
i actually rather go for a super comfy pair of headphones, my friend has one... but sound not as good as my pair of audio technia ATH-SJ3
lately astria has been spending alot of money... hm.... credit check ^^
lol iirc jak has a the "joker" cat as his dp, you change till so diff, how ppl reco you. and erm..... i actually reco 185.68, cause not so troublesome to install la, and erm,... my gaming temp for grid is aroud 70C oni.... (of course now is autumn... so colder hehehehehe)
*
agree .. that speaker setup will screw the audio quality for sure ... too much bass will be disaster unless u r a disco-kaki .

even my altec lansing last time i bought RM100++ sounded sucky..the bass, if u turn louder, u can hear the sub woofer humming one, even when idle time..dam annoying..i think it's also cos the sub woofer is too small..anyway, that speaker no more in production i think
*
it's an overpriced product, my RM99 sonic gear morro 521 never has this problem, the bass is the most perfect among speakers under rm100. No humming sound and very responsive.
