well, nowadays product with qc and without qc is also the same also.. even some china crap brand can have a better quality built compare with some well known 1..

mac osx.. the most easy to way install without choosing what to install.. gt this version exist ka?

my travelmate also turning 4 this year..no big issue, starting to have dead pixel, and replaced the heat sink fan before this, because i dropped, but only heat sink fan spoil...oh ya, battery also replaced once..
but my batch is still consider low quality one la..ultra sucky speaker, flimsy LCD, small buttons despite 15.6'', heats up quite fast, touchpad button not that durable(one of the leg on the touchpad button broke also..assignment stress caused that)

bt my fren said.. benq used to under acer.. correct me if im wrong.. =/

if u wanna upgrade, u will always need vanilla kernel, others won't work...it means if u r not using it, u will need to reinstall vanilla everytime and change back to ur original one after ugrade...it's more complicated and risky

no such version unless all ur hardware same with a macbook or any apple product....there is no easy way out....u have to go through the learning and try-n-error stage just like me ...it took me almost half a year to find out the most suitable way of installing mac on my s41,5 ...

Added on October 12, 2009, 4:05 pmit's ot the matter of which is more stable .. kalyway may be bette rif u r using it fora desktop, coz u can get all the hardware same as a mac ... but so far ideneb works the best for s42, because other distro have problem with the keyboard .... only ideneb's keyboard patch works ..

BBXiong, it's RM1550. I bought it from a forummer at garage sales at RM1550. Read the photography forum and dPreview about this camera. It's really good.

i mean for the keyboard to work ..not the fn key ..... if u don;t do the ps/2 keyboard patch .. the keyboard stop functioning once u boot into mac os

ubuntu can be fix by adding these two lines to ur /grub/boot/menu.lst

unde rthe lines that start with "kernel" add :

i8042.nomux=1 i8042.noloop=1

very easy , for mac, when installing ideneb, tick the ps/2 keyboard patch ...then everythign will works

fn keys and bluetooth work. so no worry ...

network card, wifi only no working ...
sound card is working actually, using codec dump file from linux and AppleHDA patcher .. just that the speaker will still come out with sound eventhoguh u plug the earphone jack in.

yes, u can upgrade after that, just use the ori update from applewebsite .

after u install the update, boot into the ideneb disc again to reinstall all the patches, just untick the essential system so that it won't overlap ur OS.

then restart into verbose mode, hit F8 and type -x then enter

Studio 15 (with i7 proc), i dun think she do not need i7 yet... a c2d with better graphic is more important... architects, better graphic is better

S57, same reason with s42, what i try to mean is ... work ppl need better laptop, they have money, just no time, to trobleshoot this and that...

SXPS16 what spec.... i think a 14" would be better for the boss

how toshiba, for example portege M900-S330, because her company got a few ppl familiar with toshiba and recoomend buy toshiba....

weiyap, using ideneb, it's just a simple point & click installation???
before installation some bios settings need to be changed and the partition has to be in some strange format it's not ntfs but the one suitable for Mac.

dell and good after sales service? i dun really agree ..many of my friends complain abt dell, say the repair process always troublesome ...benq is not bad at after sales service de, they act fast also ...even though they are small company, they have good service .

and make sure u make active ur partition for mac so that it is bootable ... u can search for the guide in google ... it's very easy steps ... and u only have to do it once, after that any reinstall of mac os x in that partition needs no more make active process

u have to install windows xp first to be able to flash the bios ..
