since I live in kampung malas to wait...I just try blue nokia c whether it work ...hopefully my phone won't be brick lol will post here if success...

the FW is easy to find but it the firmware the same for all region?

yeeeehaaaaaaa....after sleepless hours and pulling out my hair finally manage to get it done... yeah baby!!! and some more its using the official way...meaning getting the firmware officially from nokia NSU server + using NSU to update...I am reluctant to use non official firmware cuzzz scared of german firmware hacking lol...

and someway along the line I almost brick my phone!!! really not that straightforward...

anyway the new firmware definitely make the phone more responsive abit very minor...but I still like it...

for me its still new so I'm gonna try it out for a few days first...

How did you manage to update to ver 12 and which NSU server did you use? I tried OVI suite updater to update but it still prompt that my phone's ver11.0.105 firmware is up to date and the latest. I need ver 12 because my nokia n97 mini sometimes suddenly change ringtone back to nokia default ringtone even if I set the ringtone to my other preferred music. I understand from some sites which I googled that ver 12 will solve this problem.

shit, now my n97 mini cannot play all video, even those i recorded using the phone itself...

maybe you install to much software...I try to install as little as possible and so far its good...no crash..no changing ringtone by itself...

Added on July 19, 2010, 5:30 pma lot of step wei..using using tools like JAF, etc lot of steps...can brick your phone any time...I suggest u take it to nokia and let them update it for you...or just wait for official release...if you can't wait just google it...remember don't blame me if you phone is brick cause I almost did that to mine...

Added on July 19, 2010, 5:33 pmhaha...I also manage to download app directly from ovi store to my n97m stupid ovi store really stupid man have to go through so many step just to archive this ...the normal way for ovi is to use the phone to download the app...apple store so easy and straigt forward...ovi store really got a long way to go...

ntg gotta do with my software...... and i got not more than 20 softwares....

my old ancient n71 can install more than 100 softwares at once, still no problem....

I've installed about 7 necessary software programs on the phone and all of them are not memory resident.

Looks like ver 12 don't solve my problem here. As such I better stick with ver 11 since from the recent posts, ver 12 encounters more problems than solution.

I have additional problem while deleting contacts just now. The screen just go blank with some colour stripes appearing vertically across the right side of the screen. When I press the menu button, a white screen appear with the word nokia just like when you switched on the phone. After a while the standby screen appear and everything seems to be normal again. This happened to me twice and every time when I house clean my contacts.

maybe try restoring back to factory default and try again if its not 2 much work...good luck
