i'm feeding my MS around 2 tablespoon of kibble per meal... 2 meals a day. Not that enough i think but he's mostly staying at home and seldom exercise that much except for running around at home, so wanna train him to go with lesser food.

My friend does another ritual where he starve the dog once a week. Let them appreciate food and also better for health to cleanse their body.

20th Dec, I'm not sure if I can go...maybe next week or nearer to the date, I can confirm. Where are you guys planning to have this pot luck gathering? Also, is it an owners only gathering, or does it include the furkids as well? Pot luck means for humans only wan, or can include furkids' treats leh? smile.gif

How old is your pup? Sometimes it might not be enough to feed 2 tablespoons only. Even though the exercise level is not that high, the dog might still be undernourished if fed too little food...best is to touch and feel your dog's side. If it's too skinny, up the food a little. I seriously don't believe that feeding less will enable your dog's size to be 'small'. Size depends on the genes, and that comes from the parents...not from food.

And if your dog is still a puppy, it's not really that advisable to fast your dog, even though it's only once a week...puppies need a lot of nutrition to grow. Only fast your dog when they are adults as they are more stable then. My two cents' worth wink.gif

Oh, okay...like that, if we're including our furkids means we might have to go to the parks lo. More convenient coz there is ample space in the park. We can do like picnic style? Bring along some tikar or big plastic sheets so we can sit and eat smile.gif

If we're doing potluck, might I suggest that we make small portions of each food we're bringing? Let's say if the gathering has about 10 people, each person needs to make food for about 2-3 people only. If each of us make for 10 people, there will be too much food, and wasting...not to mention hard to bring. laugh.gif

For furkids' treats, anything that is edible will do la...if you don't want to make, just bring those commercial treats lo...or even order from the pet bakeries if you prefer something different smile.gif Again, if you plan to bring, don't bring enough for all, since there will be more than one person bringing the treats...smile.gif

If you're doing a picnic, light finger food would definitely be best...if bring heavy stuff like noodles and all, very troublesome because you'd have to bring plates, forks & spoons, etc. Finger foods like sandwiches, fries, nuggets, pastries, cakes, etc would be best lo smile.gif Think small and no need to eat using plate. laugh.gif Anyways, the gathering won't be so much on the food la..more on the owners getting to know each other and letting the furkids socialize, right? (That's what I was thinking anyways tongue.gif)
