QUOTE(Ah Shawn @ Nov 21 2017, 06:17 PM) You're probably right, thanks for the confirmation. I've been just told the same by a professional cobbler. I'll take note on the shoe tree tip, I plan to buy a few for my other existing shoes and I've been looking at a few places including Lazada and https://shoetreeproject.com/sg/shop/shoe-trees/ , such a huge price difference. Now I'll have to do a little bit more research on these. Unless there are recommendations on what I should be looking for at an entry level? Just noticed Zeve has started selling trees. RM99 is a decent price.https://zeveshoes.com/collections/accessori...ducts/shoe-tree |

QUOTE(niakulah @ Nov 27 2017, 01:40 PM) It probably is. But this is much more accessible. I have some in my cart at Taobao. Have not compared how much it is after shipping. I agree on the accessibility, however if i have the choice to get it from the maker, i would. Same goes for the Saphir products.Though I don't need any atm. All my shoes have trees. |

Hi guys I need some advise on the shoe I may need in my wardrobe. I am not tall, around 163cm and slightly built. My tops are mostly casual T shirt in dark color like black, gray or green. I usually wear jeans in navy blue or dark blue. What style and color of shoe I need for smart and casual look?

What shoes do you wear now? Clark's desert boots in beeswax would be a good everyday casual option |

Hi guys, need some rather urgent advice on shoes. So I work in an office (formal, naturally). I don't usually check out other colleagues shoe so I can't tell if mine is… old fashioned. Anyway also I notice most square leather shoe have rather tight toe box, ie my toe felt squeezed although it's the right size in terms of length. Anyway I'm tall (180cm) and I usually wear black pants with light shirt. I have a budget of 300 ish. Saw this in hush puppy, wonder if it's too kolot??

But you could do worse, like the loafer in the background. If you can go up to 600 then perhaps you can find something decent at PLAL in PJ. You just have to compare your photo and mine here. Would you be willing to spend RM1k+ so your shoes look like that? Most people aren't. I'd say check out PLAL though. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Plus I'm wearing this on a daily basis which means wear & tear will be very significant... lol.If you can go up to 600 then perhaps you can find something decent at PLAL in PJ. I though most people prefer loafers at background... ie sharp headed ones, much like yours! Anyway won't the toe hurt? since you keep trying to slide forward onto the empty space... If you still need to keep to that budget, go for the Bata Ambassador line. Get 2 pairs and rotate them.Short note. I though most people prefer loafers at background... ie sharp headed ones, much like yours! Anyway won't the toe hurt? since you keep trying to slide forward onto the empty space... Design wise, the Ambassador line is quite fair. Not good, not great, just fair. Build quality wise, they are your typical factory glued quality. So since in that sense they are just as bad as Hush Puppies, why pay more? |

Plus I'm wearing this on a daily basis which means wear & tear will be very significant... lol. Most people wear horrible shoes, hence the loafers in the background. I was one of them until a few years ago. HahaShort note. I though most people prefer loafers at background... ie sharp headed ones, much like yours! Anyway won't the toe hurt? since you keep trying to slide forward onto the empty space... The shoes I posted are chiseled toe, far removed from the square and blocky loafers. Generally dress shoes fall into either round toe or chisel for, of course there's also stuff like almond toe which is a little like round toe but a bit pointier (in a subtle and elegant way). Google for Carmina Inca for a perfect example of almond toe. Square toes and pointy toes to me should be avoided altogether. Typically chisel toe will have more toe room when compared to round toe. But it really depends on the shoe and last and how it fits your feet. Carmina Inca on double monks. To me one of the most elegant lasts. ![]() This post has been edited by QuickFire: Dec 3 2017, 02:25 PM |
