Hmmm that's what makes it weird, how come the 790X chipset which does not have a built in GPU & only have 8x/8x CF would be more expensive than a 790GX or almost the same price as a 790FX mobo
I really like that chipset, used it b4 with my old MSI K9A2-CF, its a shame that it has weak pwm's and SB600 for a southbridge

if low voltage is a must, looks no further & get yaself a c3, they are better in volt + come w/ improved imc. of all d unlockable x2550 c2 i've tried, i can safely say that they need no higher than 1.36v for 3.5GHz @ quad.

for me, 790x & 790gx has no diff, both cf @ 8x each, both are @ 55nm. oc wise not so sure as i never try any 790x board.

biostar should have come out w/ a t-power 790fx board w/ 6 or 8 + 2 pwm @ lower price, then all asus, gaygay, msi & dfi fx board sure x laku liao... & change d color oso if they ever listen, their green slots (dimm, 2ndary gfx & pci slots) are fugly...

d best i can manage for a 3.5GHz was 1.296v, i wonder how low can a c3 go for same clock. < 1.25v will be really sweeeeeeeet...

c3 955be have been nothing but impressive to me, if d price can go @ SGD$200, that wud be really irresistible... but again... not for me...

You can only increase the FSB. Multiplier locked means you cannot change it the multiplier.

just bought p2 720be, well i tried oc it through unlock multi, but cant manage to get 3.6@1.4v.

i think there're alot of mobo out there can better utilize d chip. even a cheapo biostar 790gx board can do better than ya current board i supposed.

but beware, biostar is d most hated brand in here...

That 1 got few limitations de wor. Last time used that also cannot go pass 3ghz on 7750.

mine is amd athlon 64 x2 5200+

now multiplier is at 13.5x which means i cant change it? must remain 13.5x??

limitation?u mean acc?i tried until 3.4 @ 1.37 can boot, prime test for 30 minutes no prob but when @ 3.6 can boot,prime for 5 sec then pc restart..well a newbie here..

Added on December 22, 2009, 2:54 pmnon BE means dat u dont have unlocked multiplier..BE version is a lot more easier to oc..if multi max at 13.5x it means ur cant increase multi anymore, the only way is increase fsb..increasing fsb also will increase ram freq
