with that kinda budget i think d best u can get is asus 790gx based board, gaygay boards are expensive. if u ask earlier u mite be able to grab sis verdict's dfi 790fxb which to me is still d best ddr2 board...

asus 770 ddr board got cf thou, come w/ 8 + 1 pwm some more, but asus being an asus, their low~mid range boards most likely are mediocre in performance...

joke aside, it's really hard to go for other ddr2 board after tasted 790fxb, if i were to go cheap, there's only one option for me & that is biostar 790gxe 128m. as for ddr3, u can choose from biostar, gaygay, asus or msi with your kinda budget...
ko tu pro msi & gaygay je bro...

24/7 more towards to power saving + downloads

Oc consume more power and somehow shorten the proc life.

to be honest, gd70, 790fxt & 790fxb (ddr3) are in d same league to me, it is down to personal preference which one will choose. as for 790fxb ddr2, it's my personal favorite ddr2 board.

say tak nak to msi to... *cabut in fear of backfire by sir antonio & sis verdict...

d 790gxE 128m is different than yas lah... d E version comes with power switchin (for energy efficient) & better pwm > 4 + 1 @ cpu & 2pwm @ mem...
