meaning that if your htt (fsb in older architecture where there's no bulit in memory controller) is @ 200MHz, ya ram will run @ 400MHz, effective freq would be 400MHz * 2 since it's ddr. in other words, it's a ddr800 divider. nod.gif

7750 & 7850 should not have any problem hittin 3.1GHz imo, something must be wrong coz 7750 mostly capped @ 3.2GHz, above that it requires lotsa volt in order to get stable...  sweat.gif

these were my attempts, i thought i was bein unlucky coz initially i targeted 3.4GHz, but sadly 3.3GHz was d highest i managed & it's not suitable for 24/7...  sad.gif

"save d earth" mode @ 2.4GHz

Interesting, maybe the newer sb750 make the difference. tho the kuma still prolly don't deserve the so-called Black-Edition gimmicks.

Btw, if you really interested in "save d earth" LOL mode, try Crystal cpuid. It enable you to idle your cpu at as low as 0.775Vcore yet all the number-crunching power of ur cpu kick in when it's needed. Much better then the default "cool n quiet" from amd.

THe author actually call it "Crystal n quiet" laugh.gif

yup. different chipset, different story. i've use asus crosshair ii before. its a good board, but during my time, heat is the issue. my Pii 940 temp at idle >45C. when at load, it can reach 60C. (at stock speed). some says that crosshair ii and phenom II is not a good combination, but i'm not so sure. now i'm using dfi, the temp at idle is 36-38C. nod.gif

it's kinda sad to see nvdia in its current state, they used to produced great chipsets for amd. after d gud old nf4, things haven't really go well for 'em. however, heat is not a new issue even back to d nf2/nf4 era... sweat.gif

mcm mana aku nk kurangkan fsm:dram

aku try oc

ram freq 400 x 2 =800

tp klau aku try

213 x 15.5 = 3.3
rem freq =852
bila oc mcm ni je...kmptr aku rstart..

kalu aku try (200 x (16x -----> 17.5x))

if possible pls provide ss like those that i've posted earlier on, a peekture say a thousand words... smile.gif

can u try these setting:

cpu @ 12 * 250 w/ 1.3v vcore, bump htt volt a notch or 2
ram @ ddr667
ht link & nb multi @ 8, bump vimc (if available) a notch or 2

if stable, just raise d cpu multi to 13 & try again. i always prefer htt + multi oc in order to get sweet spot for cpu clock, nb freq + ram instead of just do plain multi oc... biggrin.gif
