QUOTE(-pWs- @ Oct 26 2009, 09:12 AM) noted. will do it after this.hmm, is it better to put the ram in the slot that is closer to the proc (the same colour ram slot)? before this, i'm using crosshair ii. in the manual, it say that the ram should be put in the slot closer to the proc. but, i cant find any info in the dfi manual. |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Oct 26 2009, 09:24 AM) not a die hard dfi fans but i do hope i can help. hahaha. doesnt matter die hard fan or not, as long as u can give the idea whats wrong with my pc, it should help. ok, i'll try the ultimate way to clear the cmos. but, do i really have to wait for few hours? its killing me. clear cmos d "ultimate way" > unplug all power connectors & extension card except gfx & set jumper to clear cmos position then leave it for few hours. after that boot w/ 1 stick of ram, try every single slot until u managed to boot. |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Oct 29 2009, 11:01 AM) aod version. is that d latest one? i doubt it's becoz of bios issue, more like compatibility issue of aod. owh.. i use the one that come with the cd driver. will update with the newer version of aod. but, how about the vcore? do i need to set it manually @ 1.35V or i can run it @ default 1.296V? because i dont want to oc yet, just want to play around and familiarized with it 1st. |

QUOTE(xixo_12 @ Nov 12 2009, 01:00 PM) yup. different chipset, different story. i've use asus crosshair ii before. its a good board, but during my time, heat is the issue. my Pii 940 temp at idle >45C. when at load, it can reach 60C. (at stock speed). some says that crosshair ii and phenom II is not a good combination, but i'm not so sure. now i'm using dfi, the temp at idle is 36-38C. |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Nov 12 2009, 02:05 PM) ye ke sis, menganjing lah tu... what do u mean by actively? i didnt change to other cooler. just use the stock one. if i'm @ level 7 then u & others are way above me... it's kinda sad to see nvdia in its current state, they used to produced great chipsets for amd. after d gud old nf4, things haven't really go well for 'em. however, heat is not a new issue even back to d nf2/nf4 era... bab2 hikmat gi carik master xixo... me just a stubborn old man w/ some free time to tweak pc @ nite (since i dun have much friend over here & i dun go clubbin at all). u can virtually forget bout sb temp, as long as it's not reachin boilin point... 790fx is hotter if compared to 790gx. did u actively cool ya nb cooler? 790fxb has weird placement of nb... kinda hard to find a 3rd party nb cooler for it... rite now my pc is collecting dust only. i've sold the gts 250 and dont have other gc to use. |

Oo. i didnt add other fan to it. never think of it before.
is that ur pc? i noticed u use the orange ram slot. i read somewhere, we should use the ram slot that is closest to the proc. in this case the yellow slot. does it have any different? |
