activate & registration is a 2 different process. just follow the instructions on iTunes & register it. and yes, iPhone number = mobile number.

did u check ur wifi connection? if all fails.... well... it could be hardware failure......

Hi..sorry if this question has been asked b4. Whether I want to call someone or receive a call..it will display the caller id & pic (if I set the pic to the caller). I've seen the vids on the apple website & YouTube as well. In the vid, when someone call or the other way around..it displAys the caller Id & small pic next to it. But in my case..the pic doesn't turn that way. It appears full screen instead of small image next to the caller id. How could I set it up? Tq

You have a fullscreen caller id because you are using the pictures in your iPhone with your contacts. Follow the guide below to have the smaller picture as per the Apple site. Many others have been using this method below.

I just bought an iPhone 3GS from Maxis recently, i found out that the screen tends to be yellow compared to my iPhone 3G. Besides that, i found out that the color representation in my 3GS is also less vivid.Is this normal or should i get it replaced? Thanks!

Steps Taken So Far : I've followed all instructions given by members here accordingly i.e. :

but still failed to send any MMS

have also tried switching ON the Data Roaming, as advised by Celcom careline, but still failed. Switching it OFF also didnt help.

& yes, i've also reboot my iphone several times, still the same.

This is something I discovered which may help.

I actually have a Maxis 3GS but when I try to send MMS vide the message route, it cannot be sent. But if you were to go to the picture/photo you want sent, click the option for MMS and it gets sent. If your settings are all correct, this may solve your problem.

I been using my 3gs for about 2 weeks under Ivalue2, today, i coudlnt get access to 3G (data) error message like "cannot enable data" etc... but it also screwed up my voice plan...ppl couldnt call me...and i could not call out.

Resetting the phone would enable a few sms to come in "6 missed calls" etc etc...but after that cant use phone again.

I had to disable 3G to be able to make voice calls. Anyone experienced this b4? This is very frustrating to me as i need my phone for biz, i didnt even realise my phone was not working till about 2 hours later, when ppl called me on land line

Face this problem too sometimes, so I would just normally reboot my phone after that.
Probably you need to bring to Maxis Center to check?

As far as I know, the installment is only available to certain credit card holders only.

had this issue in certain places whereby the 3G coverage wasn't just working. The phone still shows My Maxis , but you cant use the internet , you can't dial out and dial-in. It happens , my best bet is to disable 3G and just stick with 2G. Enable 3G if you really want data services. Push , etc would still work via 2G/2.5G. If you just want to surf faster then enable 3G.

can anyone let me know..how does the genius thing works in itunes..??? sorry for asking again...

My iphone's accelerometer has problem where during playing NFS and other racing games, i just put on flat table top but the car always in left turning, so i have to tilt it right side a bit in order to go straight.

I have tested it with bubble level app, it shows the same problem which is the accelerometer out of align. But bubble level app allow me to calibrate it.

Anyone has same prob as mine? from google, there are a lot of people facing this prob, are all iPhone units got this problem?

ok, will leave it on 2g...just annoys me that you spend so much for a 3g phone, in the end, need to leave it on 2g. in my experience so far...maxis Edge is about as fast as the maxis so called 3g. no where close to Digi HSPDA, i can dl 150kbs torrent on my digi netbook
