there's like 1 or 2 small particles/dusts got into my screen area too. i reckon they got in via the mute button opening.

I just bought an 2nd hand iPhone 2g 16gig ver 3.1. everything is good until i reach home(semenyih, kajang) and there is no coverage in certain area. my frens iPhone ver 2 works perfectly.
Help me pls....
do i need to downgrade my iPhone?

No coverage in terms of data service or in terms of network? Is your friend on the same network? Try rebooting the phone to see if it works.

I found a way to retrive iPhone contacts which can be viewed back.

Sync with Windows Contact.

From Windows Contact you can view all your contacts stored in iphone then use a non iphone to run with the sim card from iphone. Manually copy those contact that wasn't inside the sim card.

I had just subscribe to this digi 3g package which is voice + broadband in 1 sim card..... i had try to use my iphone 3gs to browse the internet, but it keep say cannot open page, it is not connected to the internet.... anyone have experience this?

i had went to digi specialised store to configure my phone, also use d'chat, call up 0162211800 and lastly call up 0162193333...

digi specialised store ask me to set apn to 3gdiginet, username + password leave it blank - not working
0162211800 cs ask me to set apn username and password all to diginet - not working
d'chat ask me to call 0162193333
0162193333 broadband cs ask me to set apn to diginet, username + password leave it blank - not working

every new setting i did restart my phone..... still not working even gprs/edge also not working.....

at last i found solution after 4 hours of hard work... just downloaded bossprefs from cydia and switch on edge, walah... it works beautifully... i think a few months back i did download bossprefs and switch off the edge to avoid any data charges and then after a few weeks later, i did restore my iphone for some reason, somehow the edge still disable after that... now switch on back my edge again thru bossprefs...

still new to the phone...sumtimes play game or after sms/calling it turns off it self suddenly

wat could be the problem...still using 3.01 firmware, or should i upgrade

another thing is the battery indicator abit problem...sumtimes show 20% battery left, then i exit, bar shows more then half....

Yes it seems as if there's some issues; your phone shouldn't turn off after SMS/call. As to the battery indicator, did U install some software? Is your phone JB?

unlikely.

because for MMS to work (you need a minimum of GPRS) it has to connect to the server nevertheless.

for nokia its possible

after updatin to 3.1.2 using blackrain, my iphone 3g havin problem with wifi. it seems cant detect wifi. how am i gonna fix this?

try reJB back.... if all fails... do a restoration and then check ur wifi 1st before u JB.... if ok... then u JB.... if not... do the restoration again
(but use this method as ur last resort.... it is a pain-in-the-behind process to do a full backup+restore+sync ur backup+JB)

I don't think there's such a feature; U probably have to manually sort it out but most people wouldn't sort it that way

You don't need to repost - wait for someone to respond. I can't help because I am not familiar with i2G + jailbroken sets

still didnt work. i restore to original 3.1.2 also is hard for me to detect. iphone detect for awhile, then drop the wifi. n need to enter the pass again. when i enter the pass again, suddenly it cant detect wifi. is it hardware problem? just happen to me around 5pm this eve.

want to ask.. is it normal if my iphone heats up during a call? cos it just happened.. so i quickly get off the phone.. lol..

dear all, new ip 3gs user here. Need some advice on "Activate & Register Your iPhone". When I got my ip at maxis center,
the staff there help me to activate so that I can make a call (i dono how they activate). My question is should i register again in
Itunes/ coz when i login itunes it keep prompt me to register. Is the Iphone number refer to our maxis hp number? My concern is if Maxis
already help me activate/registe, if i do it again may cause any conflict. Sorry for noob question, if this issue been raised before, pls
