Jennifer's Body [Blu-ray] (2009) $27.99
I think the price is too high.
But if it is Megan Fox's Body, even price is double, it is a must buy BD.

I have a new respect for cineplex picture and sound quality... GSC 1 utama, hall 10.
Watched THIS IT IT (2D) .... first digital movie in cinema for me. One word ..... AMAZING. The music is soooooooo sweeeeeet .... you all must catch this, only 1 week to go. Unless you have a sweeeet HT setup, you won't want to miss this experience. |

Please note that the price of Up (4 Disc Combo Pack with Digital Copy and DVD) [Blu-ray] has decreased from $24.49 to $22.99 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart.

Looks like it is not going UP but instead down. I believe it will go below US$20, then it is a good buy, at least that is my target. |

It was awesome sounding from the dolby digital trailer to the end ... wow. First time ever, my wife tells me to get this BD .... but then again, my HT will never match this.
Been to AV fairs and none came close to this sound. Raising volume +3 solves it. This post has been edited by laowai: Nov 2 2009, 11:49 AM |

Huh? The bass overdone? It's just perfectly balanced on my system. Did you guys set the LFE level a few dBs hot? Even the dialogue is fine. Obviously some re-calibration is needed. ROTF is flawless to me, especially the regular Amazon version. The Walmart Big Screen version, yes, it is a few dBs too low, but no certain frequency overpowering others, just need to crank the volume up a few dB.
The PQ on the IMAX scenes are amazing. Opening up the ratio really gives the scope more room to breath. In scenes like this where the characters are really tall, narrower ratio certainly has it's advantage. With the IMAX 70mm resolution, ILM rendered the robots at 4k resolution (4 times bigger than 1080p) and the details really shows. IMAX is the definitive version, if you actually want the movie in the first place, or if you're looking for a good demo disc for your system. |
