Since I have NOT watched LOTR yet, I will be dipping for the theatrical version first, and being the sucker that I am, will double-dip on the extended version when it comes out.

/bending over for Warner Bros.

Yes, honestly. Have not watched any of it. It was during a period of my career when I had no time for movies. Never bothered with the DVDs after that. blush.gif

Not sure whether this is relevant to an earlier post or not ..... I just checked Jackie Chan's Police Story blu-ray here in HK and it had TrueHD 7.1 in Cantonese & Mandarin.

i'm not the most intelligent of our species, but my random guess is that it got deleted because, maybe, in one of his deleted posts (which was quoted in verbatim by ar188 in post #265 and left untouched by the moderators, which in itself is ironic and funny), he had referred to a reproductive body part of the female anatomy in a somewhat crude but often used slang. The word in question rhymes with AUNT and is often used by English-speaking natives in the UK when throwing abuse at millionaire footballers who fail to score goals 6 yards from the goal mouth.

Sounds like a HDMI switch and not an AVR.

UP is my most anticipated movie. I didnt watch it in the cinema and am looking fwd to seeing it first-time on BR.

Went to HMV last nite and surprised to see so many movies which are yet to be released on blu-ray in the US are already here on the shelf. e.g. Hairy Potty and 1/4 Prince, BG : The Plan, Monster Inc, Star Trek, Angels & Demon, Forrest Gump (std and chocolate giftbox editions) just to name a few that i can recall.
