mind to show me how to create the invisible link?? i really totally new in this OS. noob at all.. i feel tat the spbshell is better than touch qiz.. juz i wan the sms and call skinned by samsung.. haha.. if it's possible then it will be great. can hv both feature without sacrificing either 1.. spbshell is much smoother than touch wiz.. touch wiz make my hp feel like tortoise

is there anyway to get the windows mobile 6.1 Samsung lock screen on win mobile 6.5 ??
That one was good since it had media controller in the lock screen very useful.

personally, i'm using mskip's proplus ultimate elegance.. but, any of mskip's proplus versions also have the invisible link skin (can be selected via the change skin option for shortcuts)..

another way that i found out via googling (can't find the exact link back) is by creating a shortcut to the program that you want (i.e. Samsung's messaging), change the icon to a blank icon image, and using that shortcut as the shortcut link..

Personally, i find mskip's method much easier..

having a lot of fun customizing it at the moment, except for the fact that there will only be around 50 MB free program memory after a soft reset.. anyone have any ideas how to increase this?? i'm currently using SPBShell instead of widgetplus, s2u2 & resco's contact manager for my dialpad & contacts..

thx for the info.. i get 57MB left after turning off touch wiz and enabling the spb shell.. is it resco contact manager better than samsung dialpad??i think the default samsung 1 is quite nice.. haha

my mini comparison between samsung dialpad vs resco contact manager.. at least on why i prefer resco contact manager

resco contact manager - lists 5 options together with photos..
samsung dialer - only lists 2 options when you type on the keypad, and no photos displayed..

resco - all contacts list got a mini alphabetical list on the side.. can easily choose which letter you want to scroll to..
samsung - only a scroll bar on the right to scroll..

resco - has option to assign ringtone to all contacts in a particular group
samsung - going through forums, they say that video calls will be disabled if we disable the samsung dialer..

apparently, resco has a facebook feature as well, to use their pics on your contacts, but i can't seem to get it to work.. hangs when it's loading my friend list..

btw, i'm also a noob when it comes to winmo/smartphones.. so the above points might not be important, as they're slightly more eye candy..

bro, thx for sharing.. im a newbie like u also.. previously was using symbian for 4 yrs.. now switched to win mobile.. haha juz busy customizing only.. finally kao dim my spb shell.. would be happy if the spb theme can be changed. so far not many spb shell theme.. if u hv any can pm me link??
i personally prefer eye candy effect more than functionality.. haha.. tat's y i gonna stick with my samsung dial pad.
btw, how's ur battery life? since i was heavily customize my hp and play some videos and songs yesterday.. i manage to use 1 day only.. today.. i sms a lot and also play with the spb shell.. now drop to 67% ald.. dun think can last till tomorrow..

lolz.. at least you've used smartphones before.. this is my first time on a smartphone.. big learning curve..

battery life's ok i guess.. was able to last me slightly short of 2 days when i was playing around with it.. customizing here & there.. sms + calls, testing out the gps, etc.. not much on music & video yet though.. now at 87% after some calls, sms + around 30 minutes of gps this morning..

seems like ur battery life not bad.. today i wifi then plus gps testing the signal.. after tat been customizing for 5 hours. now 40 % left

just a slight update.. have used GPS navigation for around 2.5 hours earlier.. now batt is at 40%..

been playing to the bejewel and also sms.. now drop till 40% also.. haha. waiting it to completely drain off

i just updated to WM6.5 but i have problem with my garmin...my device lock automatically while i'm using it...when i'm unlock it...garmin have to search the satellite signal back...i don't have this problem on WM6.1...

go to garmin settings and play with em'.

Sometimes I found my WIFI feature will missing. After searching related topic on the web, they said the SK Tools is not compatible with WinMo 6.5. So I uninstall it and restart with soft reset the phone. Fact is, sometime the feature is there sometimes it dons

u might wanna check power/display option in garmin.
just a tick and settle..

I m using it with windows default as today(i.e turning off samsung widget), trust me, it's running like a panther now.
winmo default lockscreen is a bit laggy in times. Can try S2U2...i love it from omnia era till now..

i juz run 1 application at 1 time.. still dunno y the battery life so low.. normally it should run at least 2 days before completely drain right.. something's wrong with the battery?

Another utilities i recommend would be S2U2... not to mention the iphone-alike lock screen. It does solve the memory leak problem of WinMo 6.5 and old/boring Samsung lock screen

Which version you are using? 2.21? Would you mind share me the link to download? Thanks

I assume you are using WinMo 6.1... if so, you can disable it at Settings -> Display and Light -> Lock Screen. Disabling it will only make S2U2 to lock only.

For WinMo 6.5, Samsung has discarded its own Lock Screen. You just simply disable the WinMo 6.5 lock screen will do (same steps as WinMo 6.1)

guys, how long is ur omnia 2 battery life? i sms about 50 msg per day.. did some minor customization and also exploring the phone for a few hrs.. it end up tat my battery only last 1 day ++.. is it normal? i use 3G band all the time.. now i switch to 2G band.. hopefully to save some energy.. mind to share the battery life?
