im glad that kalou did his job as a striker in the box, altho after a few frustrating misses, he managed to get two goals, should have been more, but at least he made up for it. overall, i think the team played really well and almost everybody is on form, ballack was really fired up on the attack, lampsy gaining back his form and scoring a superb goal, deco with his crazy passes. just awesome. let me comment on every single player tongue.gif

cech - definitely on fire, made almost every save except for the one that almost went in. did great in the one on ones too.

belletti - started off really well, good game over all. still a right back to be feared by the opposition.

ivanovic - much better than riccy's defending last week. great on the air, fast, but lacks the attacking element which i can close an eye whistling.gif one of my favourite players.

terry - hmmm, i dont know if u guys noticed, he started off a little slow but was back to his no non sense defending after a while. made sure no goals conceded from set pieces this time!

ashley - awesome assist for kalou. back to the ashley cole we all want to see.

essien - single handedly owned the midfield. man of the match? defended well and attacked well.

lampard - got back to his goal scoring form with an awesome shot near bottom corner. great link with midfield and strikers.

ballack - handled his role well, at the back defending, up front attacking. very good display after coming back from injury. linked up with the rest of the diamond very well.

deco - HE'S EVERYWHERE. very determined up front, trying to go for every ball, harassing defenders, a perfect player for the tip of the diamond. his passes are getting better and better too.

anelka - very unselfish. created loads of chances for kalou to score. he's on the left flank, the right flank. he's so dangerous two defenders mark him everytime he gets the ball. awesome shot saved too. deserves a goal.

kalou - started off bad. ended the game good with a double. he should start off well if he wants a regular spot in the first eleven.

the subs - by the time the subs came in, the whole team kind of switched off in my opinion. not something the fans want to see.

we're in the knock out rounds boys!

do you guys think that we might field in more reserves for the remaining champions league game? altho the backbone of the team should remain. sturridge, yuri and joey should get more games. we can keep anelka, lampard, essien, terry and cech in. alex and ivanovic should play too. maybe deco or bally can rest.

like what we discussed before the best method to play diamond will be 1 great keeper...2 flying fullback...2 solid center back...a bison....3 pure midfielder....and 2 heavyweight striker....priceless....
