I told you guys Kalou alongside Anelka is a more logical partnership then Anelka and Sturridge hours before the game. Seems like C.Ancelotti thinks the same way as me. Great minds think alike? HAHA. Just kidding, anyways great game by the lads, hope to see consistency in the team.

its kallooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! carletto's biggest win yet under chelsea. kalou could've easily had a hattrick today, but i liked the way he kept his head up, and didn't drift away after that glaring miss. lampsy with a trademark goal as well, and i'm sure he was mighty relieved when that one went in. setpiece defending was better, although atletico aren't really the setpiece goals galore type.
aguero might've successfully shaven off 20 million pounds from his price tag, also good news for us his first attempt was offside btw, (linesman sleeping on the job again) and the second one was snuffed out by good defending from terry, coupled with some good keeping from cech. good to see zhirkov get some playing time, and sturridge must've been pumping with adrenaline during his champs league debut. good first touch from malouda's great diagonal ball, and the defender should've been off for that tackle on danny. he was going slightly wide, but the fact remains he was bearing down on goal, and the defender was the last man. through one on one, i think he would've gotten a dream goal for himself. pity. oh and today we can put to rest the myth that spanish teams play more 'pretty passing football.' that's a load of bollocks seeing how atletico were worse than stoke city with their persistent fouling. amazing how they escaped with such few yellows. (two was it?) and everyone was thinking only english teams play anti-football. barca lost to ruben kadazan. no ovrebo to save them this time This post has been edited by Kerplunk: Oct 22 2009, 07:55 PM |

lol damn i miss all the action last night cos of work!
anyway, great result for us. good to see Kalou stepping up to fill in Big Drog's shoes. we aren't in the knockout stages yet right? perhaps one more win will seal a place in the last 16. so, probably wont field in too many youngsters and i'd like to see us finishing top of the group. i have a feeling it's better that way. Chelsea! |

its being reported all over that we're requesting fifa to delay the ban, pending the outcome of our appeal. this will allow us to sign players in january. a very shrewd move by our team of lawyers and the board imo. always prepare for the worst i like to say.
although i don't think we'll be signing anyone in january. won't stop the tabloids from going crazy though. |

Awesome performance 4rm Chelsea...
Even though Kalou missed 2 easy chances in the first half , he didnt give up and he proved that he can be a gud striker alongside with Didi and Anelka.. The best moment in this match is when Lampard score!!!!! I still remember afta last week's match against Villa , so many ppl complaining about Lampard.. Lampard is our LEGEND guys... 2day he proved that he still have his deadly strike... Y the first half goal was disallowed..?The one which gone in afta Lampard took de freekick.. Actually the ball alredy gone in b4 Kalou fouled Asenjo... COME ON BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

we're not complaining, we're criticizing his performance and im sure all of us want to see him at his best again. any player that performs badly deserves to be criticized, at this level of football, only the best wins. if we were to go "oh nevermind, lampard will be better the next game". "the next game" will continue on and on and will eventually cost us the league or something.
we must return to the premier league race and pressure united all the way. dont forget the gooners are also on our tail. LETS KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGHHHHHH! |
