there was this wonderful gift i received years back from my best friend(not gf just best friend) for my b'day as she was unable to attend my b'day party and coincidenteally i was suffering from a disease that almost got me blind... this idea came from a korean i movie she said. She gave me a container shaped as similar as Choclair chocolate and it was filled with papers that was folded star shaped. She told me to take one "star" per day. When i opened the folded paper, it is full of inspirational quotes and sentences. At that time i spent most of my time in my bedroom in the dark as i was unable to withstand bright light and closed my eyes all the time at bright space. I caused me much pain to just read what she wrote. And then i, never bother with the pain i keep reading everything she wrote... and it took me only a day to finnish reading it.... feeling inspired and everything i finally got the courage to see the doctor for operation....

just my 2cent story and gift idea... maybe it is a good gift for ppl that are sick

Sorry to hear that u suffer from that decease. I hope u getting better nowdays. Lucky u got such a good friend. If i was u, i'd really touched and remember it forever. Anyway, how many stars she put in that container..? I thinking of making the same thing but if my gurl open it everyday, it would be nothing left at the end lol. Maybe i should teach her to fold it back then -.-''

now ok already good enough to whistling.gif whistling.gif jk only... I have known her since primary one to f5 only in different college, sure lucky to have her as a friend but don't know if she was lucky to have me as a friend tongue.gif sweat.gif tongue.gif sweat.gif ....... i can't remember how many stars she gave, but just enough to give me the courage.. she has been very kind to me all this years, it is just that sometimes i always make her listen to me when i wanna take about girls that i admired and anything that will surely annoy her tongue.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

if you want to present the same thing to your gf, don't give too much, it is seriously addictive, i even battled the pain in my eyes just to finish reading every single one of them, not to mention if your gf won't encounter the diffculties i've face. This was definitely the best that i have ever received from a friend, and the value is priceless

nope... never had any gf before in my life.... i don't think it is a good idea, because i have known her for so long, and if we are together, i would treat her as a friend rather than a gf. And i'll just keep it that way.

Felt-tip markers are good for cursive writing, or you can opt for other types. If you have the time, I'd write using tones of each colour. Numbers are hardly a matter, but make it significant if you can. You can do this :

Buy the strips of paper used to fold stars, write a message alongst the writable part (white part). Roll it up into a scroll, tie it with a thread or something. Do it for as many papers you want wink.gif

Its unconventional and can do as a replacement for stars.

My gf wants perfume as a Christmas present. How much does perfume usually cost??
We've only been together for around a month, and I get to see her around 2 weeks once though we chat on MSN and webcam every night.
what is the best way to present the perfume to her???
I hope I won't have to break the bank on this

LYN Street Mart is your best bet, plenty of people there sell authentic goods. I'm sure they can help you there.

I am making a box for my gf as well using stuff from the shop listed by Baronic, I am thinking of getting the leather material thing, but couldnt find it anywhere in 1U o.0 swt

I bought a box, a sealer (gum like thing to make a smooth surface for the paint ), vanisher , and acid-free paper with some hearts shaped stuff + characters and white paint cost me 120 smile.gif.

Lets hope my project turn out alright lol. biggrin.gif

Dude, those are epic! What materials did your girlfriend use for the drumset? Really makes me want to start making stuff again, but I have nobody to give them to so \(o_O)/. As for the gifts I usually give? Poetry! Compose it by yourself. Had I the time to hunt for the materials to make the parchment, I would, but otherwise I usually just write it down on some fancy paper or make a card and put it there. Good for giving to friends on occasions, since its cheap to make. (depending on how creative you are). They just don't compare to the other handmade stuff here though.

Took this from my blog ; Nothing spectacular.

P.S : As expected from Uncle Deimos. Ever the hamsap one.
P.P.S : What pen did you use for the inscription on the box? Haven't been able to get a good one for writing on glass surfaces, they seem to fade easily.
