QUOTE(david890701 @ Sep 30 2009, 09:13 AM) All DIY presents from my girlfriend Dude, those are epic! What materials did your girlfriend use for the drumset? Really makes me want to start making stuff again, but I have nobody to give them to so \(o_O)/. As for the gifts I usually give? Poetry! Compose it by yourself. Had I the time to hunt for the materials to make the parchment, I would, but otherwise I usually just write it down on some fancy paper or make a card and put it there. Good for giving to friends on occasions, since its cheap to make. (depending on how creative you are). They just don't compare to the other handmade stuff here though. Took this from my blog ; Nothing spectacular. P.S : As expected from Uncle Deimos. Ever the hamsap one. P.P.S : What pen did you use for the inscription on the box? Haven't been able to get a good one for writing on glass surfaces, they seem to fade easily. This post has been edited by ZeratoS: Oct 3 2009, 02:07 PM

QUOTE(spunkberry @ Oct 8 2009, 04:46 AM) Depends, some actually fade pretty fast. I'll have to stalk some art shops for potential stuff to use.

QUOTE(vicole @ Oct 21 2009, 03:22 PM) You have no one to give it too? omg. U can always GIVE IT TO ME Friendship can accept and appreciate your gifts, isnt it? That would be a little bit strange wouldn't it? Anyway! This makes for a good gift. Been planning to make one of these, but all my close female friends have gone to other countries. http://www.flickr.com/groups/821933@N24/pool/Whimsey Jar! I know its a little unorthodox, since its more of a pen-pal exchange gift, but all the same eh? I haven't been very creative lately, so not much ideas as of yet. I'll see what I can contribute some other time. QUOTE(david890701 @ Oct 21 2009, 11:48 PM) my gf say thanks for ur reply haha I do write poems for my girl too Well made things deserve praise. QUOTE(skylinerz @ Dec 4 2009, 11:52 PM) Sorry to hear that u suffer from that decease. I hope u getting better nowdays. Lucky u got such a good friend. If i was u, i'd really touched and remember it forever. Anyway, how many stars she put in that container..? I thinking of making the same thing but if my gurl open it everyday, it would be nothing left at the end lol. Maybe i should teach her to fold it back then -.-'' Felt-tip markers are good for cursive writing, or you can opt for other types. If you have the time, I'd write using tones of each colour. Numbers are hardly a matter, but make it significant if you can. You can do this : Buy the strips of paper used to fold stars, write a message alongst the writable part (white part). Roll it up into a scroll, tie it with a thread or something. Do it for as many papers you want Its unconventional and can do as a replacement for stars.

QUOTE(evanesence117 @ Dec 7 2009, 07:16 PM) My gf wants perfume as a Christmas present. How much does perfume usually cost?? We've only been together for around a month, and I get to see her around 2 weeks once though we chat on MSN and webcam every night. what is the best way to present the perfume to her??? I hope I won't have to break the bank on this LYN Street Mart is your best bet, plenty of people there sell authentic goods. I'm sure they can help you there.

QUOTE(slushie @ Dec 12 2009, 02:18 AM) oh my, the drumset is sooo adorable!! didn't know things like that can be homemade.. totally didn't strike my mind.. btw, anyone knows how much a leather belt would cost? around 100+ izzit? What brand? Designer or non? Also, Christmas is coming! Time for me to get materials to start crafting things again. I'm not quite sure on what to make, but I think I'd like to surprise a few people this year. Will share what I'll be making later on. This post has been edited by ZeratoS: Dec 12 2009, 03:21 AM

QUOTE(slushie @ Dec 12 2009, 08:04 PM) i thought all leather belts are from designer brand.. >_< preferably designer..think can last longer for a belt. Ralph Lauren belts go for $38 and up. I'd say about RM200 and above. http://www.ralphlauren.com/family/index.js...egoryId=1766639My cousin isn't on so I can't ask her regarding the other designer labels. QUOTE(eunicediva @ Apr 28 2010, 05:40 PM) hey people.. hurm, i'm in a ldr with my bf.. he's in kk, i'm in kl. and he'll be reaching lcct tomorrow night. thing is, i bought him a wallet, baked him cookies, and custom made a t-shirt for him.. and the problem is what is the best idea of presenting it?? Leave it at home. How you choose to present it to him there is up to you. In a box would be the most practical. You ARE going to greet him at the terminal right? I'm thinking candles. Now what will you write with them? This post has been edited by ZeratoS: May 22 2010, 12:10 AM
